I got to meet my goddaughter this afternoon and sweet baby Jesus, I was not prepared to love her quite as much as I think I do. I knew I would at least a little because come on, your best friend has a baby- you're going to love the baby. And while I'm not the world's biggest fan of people in general, I do know that some kids I do like. See Widget. I have only held two babies in my life that did not immediately flip their shit and Widget and Little One (who is going to need a name ala Widget because her real name is pretty unusual) would be those two. It's a sign! Possibly a sign that I haven't held all that many babies but also a sign that these two are special to me. In any case, I met the little one.
And the look on Cass's face when she was putting her back in her car seat was just pure magic. Sparkles and hearts and "I would murder everyone on the planet for you" all rolled into one. I wish I'd gotten a picture of it, honestly. Something tells me I'll get another chance though.
We'll talk TV later. AG's sale starts in about an hour but my hopes have been mostly dashed because if you type in "cyber" in the search, it's mostly the stuff on sale last week (the leak) and none of it is calling my name. ... Or the sale could be starting now.
