Scrubs and Supernatural
Well, I caught up on Supernatural. I hadn't realized I was four episodes behind, and so I devoted mostof my catch up time to it. And two episodes of Scrubs, but you cannot deny the power of Scrubs. You just can't. Which reminds me. That is, if you haven't seen this episode, total spoilers. The episode where Turk/JD/everyone else finds out that Carla is pregnant before she does, and then she's just so happy to be preggers that she doesn't kill any of them? Is a perfect example of why I will cry for a week straight if they don't renew Scrubs. It's too good for NBC, and yet they keep trying to kill it very dead and then wonder, "Well, why doesn't it pull in freakishly high numbers?" Asshats. Any show that makes you laugh, a real laugh, none of this tiny little heh heh stuff, but laugh until it hurts and then makes you cry, and then gives you a moment of happiness without immediately killing you [that'll come later, sure]? Is better than most of the rest of your lineup. I need more Scrubs. The end made me sniffle. And years of various evil fandoms made me keep waiting for someone to die immediately before the credits.
Back to Supernatural. I'm sure I'm supposed to mostly identify and sympathize/empathize with Sam, but I'll be damned if most episodes don't make me at least wince for Dean. Not because he can be an ass [that's a wince of a different kind] but because as much as Sam and Dad duke it out, they get the warm fuzzy moments and Dean? Dean's like the glorified babysitter you yell at when they ineveitibly screw up for half a second. Doesn't matter that Sam or Dad both screw up too, they're allowed to. Sam because it's expected since he's not even supposed to be here today and Daddy because he's as close to godlike as you'll ever see.
Aside from character issues, might I just say the freaky little girl from the picture was indeed super freaky? Yes, yes I might just say that. G'ah. Had I watched that last night, I'd never fall asleep. Ever. Creepy, creepy, creepy. The end of Hell House, btw, was nifty in a thoughtful sort of way.
Someone's coming to look at the fridge in the morning. Yay?
