Tis Wednesday morning which means I came home from work, saw the munchkin off to school and watched Glee.
I really, really feel bad for anyone who hates Lea Michele's voice. If you love the show but can't stand her vocals, you're screwed in the worst way imaginable because she gets to sing 97% of the songs, and that's as a lead. We aren't even talking about her chiming in on a big group number.
Anyway, I had no idea what the song Rachel/Finn/Puck/Jesse did was. No idea, man. In fact, up until the end of the episode, I think this was probably my least favorite episode so far musically speaking, but then they went and gave me Total Eclipse of the Heart and did it so well that I felt bad for characters I don't even particularly like on a regular basis. How the hell? Well played, guys. Well played.
While the sight of parachute pants still gives me flashbacks and causes serious shuddering, I really enjoyed Brittany/Kurt/Mercedes/Tina/Artie plotting. Not so much their library assault, but the plotting and the general grouping, I guess.
But mostly if you bring Sue down to earth with her sister, you have warm fuzzies for me.
Now, I have to go rewatch TEoTH and maybe the angelic Brittany bit.
Very, very sleepy.
