o.O Yeah, I stopped reading around #83 or so, before the cover redesign. I never made it to the haunted house and ebil!Elizabeth and though I'm tempted every time I walk into the bookstore and see the copies of said books, I haven't yet given in.
Something must've gone down in 96, because SVH took us to vampireville and then switched over to the photocover minis (which is about where my tolerance of the series hits all time lows), SVT switched from House of EVIL to "what? supernatural? Other than ESP? No. Teehee, boys are cute
Interesting! So basically, they went in opposite directions...hmm. I only made it to Death Valley (#116) before giving up on SVH, but when I saw the vampire miniseries eons later, I was curious. I ordered the first one from amazon and got as far as Jessica having a cat named Jasmine before I was like "WTF kind of alternate reality shit is this?!" Because yeah. What?!
It wasn't til 99 that they went and decided "We need a new Sam. Make him an ass.
SAM WOODRUFF NOW, SAM WOODRUFF FOREVER! SVU Sam doesn't exist in my world. Yes, even though I own his Secret Love Diary (*sporfle*)
I want a bookstore that tempts me $20 worth... that is close enough that it doesn't involve Serious Planning to get to it.
I wish this place would open more branches. Their expansion into my city made their grand total of stores across the country = 2, so. You know. The other one is in GA, I think.
