Progress! With pictures!
Yesterday I waged war on the boxes in my larger closet. We shall now call it many different things (Sam's room, Alice's recruitment office, the doll closet, the doll room, the room that geek built) but they all refer to the walk in closet.
It started out pretty full of boxes. And by pretty full I mean there was probably a very small section of floor not covered by something aside from carpet. Now it's about half-full of boxes and stuff. Some of this is a cheat, like the box of posters that will probably live in there more often than not until I feel like finding the other closet (egads) and some of it was hard won.
Things would have moved faster if I hadn't spent the entire afternoon waiting on Widget to come tell me it was pool time. He never came because he ditched me and ran off to a friend's house and no one told me. So while I never got too into the spirit of "UNBOX IT ALL!" for fear of getting in too deep and not being able to resume after swim times, I did manage to still find a place for quite a few dolls.
If I can remember where the camera is, I'll show you some pics of how it currently is. Or try, anyway. I'm trying to figure out what to do next. I'd originally planned on buying another small bookcase and using it for storage but then I realized that I really want to keep a good chunk of the remaining floor space (or what will be floor space once the boxes are unpacked or dealt with) empty so I can um, play. Or hide. The AG stuff is pretty large since they are pretty large, and the ultimate plan is to set up a bit of a revolving display in there.
The MH army doesn't really disrupt this plan on its own, but then you remember my MyScene fleet and the Pullip Parade and, well, things just got real crowded. I'm thinking that the MyScene Army can go on the top shelf and I'll rotate them out as I feel the need, again with a few on permanent display on lower shelves. It's the Pullips I'm really concerned about. There are quite a few and they're pretty darn fragile as well as larger than the MS army (but perhaps not in numbers) so I'm not sure whether they'll fit on the built in bookcases that the MH army already swiped.
Pictures would really help you guys, huh?

This is the closet I worked on yesterday. You can also see part of my room. Behold! You can see space on the floor inside the closet and everything. It's a miracle! Also, that is Ozma. She is rather enjoying this whole "have my person all to myself" thing.

Once you sort of enter the closet and look to the right, this is what you see. Chaos! But there are threads of order trying to work their magic. Maybe?

Look down and you will notice there's an empty shelf (Ozma kept sitting there) and a bottle of Mom's tequila.

The back wall has these lovely boxes lining it. I'm hoping to move them up to the top shelf, either unpacked or otherwise.

Look up and you'll see the boxed MH & EAH dolls. Okay, some of those are actually just the boxes, so it's a bit of a mix.

And moving over a little yields this.

From the door and to the left you'll see this.

The naked/half naked AG army is plotting their assault on the junkier side because that's where beds and stuff will be. The box under Lane and Jess is Kit's desk and will likely live where the box is now.

That first shelf with the bears was the first round of stuff I put in my room/house/closet. Do not mock the bears.

Operetta colonized this side and brought some friends.

The bag contains the dolls I thought I'd first unpack but they've been safer there so... it's likely they'll be some of the last let out.

Back on the right side we have my temporary MH sorting. Top shelf is Clawdeen and Cleo. Howleen was supposed to hang out up here but she kept falling. So I moved her down to the Frankie/Draculaura shelf but she didn't like that any better.
The shelf in between has Ghoulia and Abbey with some appearances by Bex, Spectra, Venus, and Cupid.
I'm not sure whether I want to keep them like this (only cleaned up a little) and basically sorted by ghoul or if I want them to mingle. Thoughts?

Bex is freakishly pretty, no? And Swim!Venus looks so cute!

Nefera is not impressed by the Deuces. Or Cleo. Definitely not by Clawdeen. Fine, she's not impressed by anything.
Now we swing out to the room at large.

It's really difficult to capture a room, or else I'm just not talented enough? Both? Dunno. This is the wall between my closet (left) and bathroom (right where you can see just a hint of the door.) The Vespa on the floor is on it's way to the Goodwill and the bottom shelf of the bookcase with my TV needs to have the spindled DVDs placed there. Behold the Charmed poster. Well, and Angel too. Also...

Lagoona Army!

There's no rhyme or reason to them, I just wanted Lagoona to have her own section for now. I do like how it looks like DDG Lagoona is all googley eyed over Gil, though.

Bathroom didn't get pictured much because I need to clean up.

Still need a proper shower curtain, but here's the tub when not filled with dolls.

Across from the bathroom door is my hope chest (actually my grandmother's, maybe?) that is serving double duty as a bench for me to sit sometimes.

Pardon the super messy bed. I need a new trundle since the boy decided mine wasn't worth taking and proceeded to leave it out in the rain (it was metal) and then broke it for good measure. To be fair, it wasn't in the best shape beforehand, but there was no need to be a dick about it.

The door is to your left there, and that's the dresser I've had for forever. I felt silly taking a picture of a mess, but it also felt silly to take pictures of the rest of the room and ignoring this part so... there you go. The pumpkins on top are from the $1 stop at Target. :D

Across from the bed and between the two windows we have my bookcases. I'm going to need at least one more that'll go over by the doll closet.

Scaris Clawdeen hangs out with the other two newer Scaris arrivals, while Bluena is content to be awesome. Also, Wysteria is super pretty.

To the left of the bookcases, past the window, and to the right of the closet you didn't see, is where this is hanging. Sadly, my stereo can't stay here (and it's not hooked up either) but I kind of dig this little set up. Alas, the stereo is sitting on boxes of books that really would like a home. :P

Pretty though!

Kitty thanks you for your time.
