Ravenswood
I figured I should probably start watching my backlog of Ravenswood if I want to catch up on PLL, too. Made it through the pilot this morning and I was left with two thoughts.
1) I do not like Miranda. Her actress was okay on the PLL episode she was in, but somehow when she's trying to do all the heavy lifting, she fails in her acting. I'm hoping she'll either get better or I'll stop noticing. (I know, who complains about the acting on an ABC Family show, right? Well, I do.)
2) And this is the biggie: Let's see, if you found out that the town you're currently in has a bit of a theme going back decades, wherein a soldier returns from war (usually the sole survivor of their unit) and days later 5 teens wind up dead, would you, as a teen, pick up two more people so your car now contains 5 teenagers, or would you say "fuck it" and let your boyfriend walk (or ditch the two newbies or something) just this once?
Because I'm thinking I'd have said fuck it to the boyfriend and his sister. I might have dropped the two newbies off somewhere and gone back for the boyfriend, but I wouldn't hang out anywhere with four other teenagers. You either bump that number up or you bump that number down, but never, ever have five. The hell, teenagers of Ravenswood?
Also, I'm not sure how much I'd buy Caleb, the guy who frequently implored Hanna to just walk away from the mystery over in Rosewood, stubbornly sticking around in a town that is TRYING TO KILL HIM, picture on a tombstone or no.
Now I'm on to episode 2.
Soooo... Miranda is dead but this is the ship that's going to sink my Hanna/Caleb? THE ACTUAL FUCK?!
