and all my hope is gone

Spoilers behind the cut, sort of [I think I manage to be horribly vague for no good reason, but whatever] if you didn't see the latest Angel. And shame on you if you didn't. Shame! ...wait, mixing song lyrics. Woops.

Anyway, tonight's Angel? Fan-bloody-tastic. Gory and icky and creepy, and a psycho slayer on the loose! Woo. Not to mention that for about 10 seconds I could pretend there was a Buffy series still and that was worth the price of admission. Okay, so was Andrew and quite a few of his lines. But mostly I liked the darkness of the episode. It reminded me of channel surfing when we had a zillion movie channels, and I'd always find some horror movie that I knew would give me nightmares [or at least make me stay up another hour or two to make sure I fell asleep thinking of fluffy bunny stuff] but looked so interesting that I couldn't turn the channel. Did you keep up with all that? Good. Scary psycho slayer. Still not quite sure why Spike latched onto the concept as if it were something new, he met Faith and heard of her, and she wasn't exactly in her mind for parts of her arc, so... *shrugs*

I admit to being more than a little morbid, so I liked the idea [in theory, not that I want to torment someone] of Buffy's actions having serious consequences like unleashing major power in someone who really, really, REALLY shouldn't have it. And the hands... oh the hands. *cringes*

Liked the double cross [is it really one though?] at the end and the slayers reclaiming one of their own. Liked the reminder that, hey, to the good guys, they've gone bad, or at least are highly questionable.

I did not like the Kennedy mention though. :p I hate her still.

So, to sum it up, this is my favorite episode of the season and now I'm wishing I'd taped it like I thought of doing. I'm looking forward to the return of Cordy next week. I miss her so... Fred's cute and all, but snarky Cordy? *weeps* Curse you, Joss! Curse you!

Oh, and I also miss "kill 'em all, let someone else sort it out" Gunn.

After reading something A2 wrote, I have a command for all those who are ever so cool. Ready? I thought so. ;)

Find yourself a copy of Kabuki: Skin Deep by David Mack. Probably easier to find a trade paperback of it instead of the individual issues [not to mention cheaper, unless he went out and whored himself like certain authors/illustrators], but find it. Beat up a local comic geek and ask if they know where you can get you some of this artistic crack. If they don't know of what you speak, then revoke their geek license. [do not bother the kid if they're 14 or younger. Any older though and they should know. It's the law, okay?]

Anyway. It's fantastic. Wonderful. Good enough to make me want to sift through my massive amount of comics to find my copies and read a million times. I'm not saying you'll learn a damn thing, mind you. But you will be forced to turn the book upside down, sideways, at funny angles, and practically have to hold parts of it to a mirror to read it and you will love it for that. Why? Because it's spiffy. There are notes passed around and a loony bin and.. yes. If nothing else the art is pretty.

Although some people seem to be under the impression you had to read the previous stuff to understand anything about the book. That is entirely possible, but dammit, I can't tell people to just go buying stuff willy nilly. No, I need an exact TPB to give them. *muses*

Um, yeah, I think I'll hush, okay? Yush it is. Oh, and I hate NBC. They shoved Scrubs to Tuesdays again. Which isn't something to hate them for, but they've pretty much annoyed the shit out of me in the not playing Scrubs enough department. It's the only show I watch on their network, you'd think they'd care. :p [not really, but I had to say it]

I am in agreeance with everything you said about Angel. Loved last night's episode. Whoo! Although Andrew looked like a hobbit with that hair. I suppose it's appropriate considering...well, it's Andrew. I cringed at the mention of Kennedy, and I had the urge to cry out "Tara!" Of course, I didn't because I was watching with my mom and she might have me committed or something. :op

*scampers off to return to doing work* Damn job. Can't they just pay me to sit here and do nothing? ;o)
