The search for Grace, GOTY '15, continues
Last night/this morning things got weird in the AG fandom. For awhile it looked as if Grace (the GOTY for 2015) had been spotted on taobao but after further inspection by yours truly, I'm thinking we're still awaiting Sara or someone to crack the code.
But let's begin at the beginning, shall we?
C. was surfing taobao and found a rash of listings being deleted nearly as fast as they went up. Curious, she screen grabbed and found this:
Ignore the Kits and Jess and linger on Second from the Left. In this shot, it's hard to tell much at all, but she looks awfully similar to #55. Still, it's not zoomed in or anything and the links disappeared super fast so... who knows, right? C. posts it to the locked section of AGC and shortly thereafter flickr removes it from her photostream. o_O
Seriously, this is the wild Grace? Huh. I am most disappointed, but if she actually has blue eyes and maybe something interesting with the hair, well... I still won't buy her but I won't spend the year hating her face.
I poked around for forever and eventually found another version of the listing.
Let's zoom in, shall we?
IsItGrace on the left, #55 on the right. Same. Doll. Yes?
Now, all the rumors of Grace thus far have her with some shade of blue eyes and side bangs, so it's highly unlikely that this is a case of Gwen/12 (same doll), but I threw that out there as a possibility when I shared my findings. I also found this:
Which, I would like to point out to the court, is the same doll as before, only with something thrown over her shirt/tights combo. SAME DOLL.
Admittedly I don't find her as pretty as I usually find #55 but still, I shared with the class, along with the links to the auctions, and went about my business. My intention was to share what I found and let other people come to their own conclusions, and also to see if Mattel would flip out over the pictures and come for them like they apparently did before.
They did not and I swear, my hand to dog, that we went another 2 pages with people begging for pictures of the 'leak' even though I'd shared the links in thread.
Two. Pages. Really, guys? I know I'm not important but geez. My feelings are fucking hurt. D:

I did find this:
And had a momentary freak out because it checked off all the boxes. Blue eyes, side bangs, brunette of some sort, and freckles! But the angle makes it very hard to tell how long the hair is, so I think Midoria might be right and this is a Lindsey with a new head. I'm not sure because her eyebrows are much darker than any I've ever seen on a Lindsey before, but new head might explain it.
It's not Saige because those aren't Saige's eyes and it's not her hair either.
I'm tired of waiting for Grace to leak. I did my part of the mythbusting, now it's time for someone to come along and end this.
