Charmed Challenge: Day 1
1. Your Favorite Season.
Truthfully, this one is a bit of a toss-up between Season 1 and Season 3. When they're good, they're excellent, and when they're bad, they're horrible.

Ultimately I'm giving the nod to Season 3 because I had to wait so long to see it and I built it up so much in my mind and it still delivered. (We didn't have cable that year, or the internet. Oh yeah, that was fun.) For all the backstage drama, the episodes were fun to watch and filled with the right mix of drama/comedy, and overall I felt it was a pretty strong season.

As to it launching the ship that ate the show (Kern's love affair with Cole? Phoebe/Cole!), I actually liked P/C at the start. I think they could have made it work if they'd backed the hell off the accelerator and not had the brilliant idea to make Cole the star of the show. Forbidden love, only this time with a demonic twist? Should totally have worked.

Also, Season 3 blessed us with: Once Upon a Time (the fairy episode), All Halliwell's Eve, Coyote Piper, Bride and Gloom, Just Harried, Death Takes A Halliwell, Sin-Francisco, and All Hell Breaks Loose.

And some of the ones I didn't mention don't suck either.

If you shipped Piper and Leo at all, this season gave you their wedding (huzzah!) annnnd I might've downloaded that episode when we first got our internet back. Do you know how long it took to download an entire episode on dialup? FOREVER.

Seriously, I love this season and would consider it perfect if not for the fact that when it ended, we lost Prue and our drama. (Just in time for TNT to get reruns and use their "We Know Drama" tagline that didn't apply to S5-onward!) I'm ever jealous of the universe where this just set up an absolutely amazing season 4 with Prue/Piper/Phoebe really getting to use their accumulated knowledge of their craft.
