Curse whomever complained that a lot of the action takes place off camera on GG. Curse them! I kept thinking that at various points during tonight's episode. It [or the episode, or me being a cold fish. something] kept me from connecting with anything until Lorelai freaked out in the store. Well, a smidge for the tie dilema with Richard & Rory, but still.
I think my favorite parts were the diner's reaction to the Luke/Nicole blowout [shushing Miss Patty! The thought!] and the "Second cousin/Gotta go" moment.
Scrubs was fluffy for a while and then good stuff kicked in. Yay for not killing off a character and then immediately moving on. Why is it so hard for other shows to follow suit?
