Argh

So I tried for two hours this morning (off and on, I did stop to make and eat breakfast) to come up with a Valentine's post about a thing (I might actually pull it off later so we'll be vague) and it just would not work. It was too dry/boring and yet as soon as I was upstairs, I was hit by the perfect way to start and handle the thing. We're talking composing this post in my head and it was if not perfect, at least as perfect as it might ever be. So perfect that since I was exhausted and tired of sitting downstairs, I was sure that I would remember enough to work on it later.

As I was falling asleep I realized how wrong I was and now I can't even remember how I wanted to start it. Dammit, past!me. We've been through this. When the inspiration strikes, you just write it down ASAP. Do not assume future!me will get the mental memo. I won't. The hamster in charge of note taking was fired years ago and no one replaced them.

OH GOD I KNOW THIS FEEL. I swear, we need some way to just instantly download our thoughts into a Word document without having to pass the message between our brains and our hands, where our brilliance always gets lost.

But yes, we totally need that thing because I am forever forgetting what I was going to say or thinking "ah, yes, totally replied to someone" and turns out I just thought I did. Why are we not at this part of the future yet?!
