25. Moment that stands out to you the most?:

You mean besides two different people plotting to kill the Wakefield twins and assume their identities only to team up and still manage to bungle the plan? :P The actual cover art for Double Love since it's used and recreated so much and Jessica's Evil Twin realization both pop into my brain more than is probably strictly necessary.

In SVT, my love for said series was cemented early on when Jess realizes that she's a better dancer but Liz is teacher's pet and no one believes her. I'm not sure if it works as well if you start with SVT and go to SVH, but if you're coming from SVH and going back, it's nice to see that Liz isn't always right and Jess isn't always wrong. I especially like that they set this up at the very start of SVT.

Early SVT was pretty decent, too. I'm glad it was the first spin-off from SVH because it was fun going back and seeing the twins (and Sweet Valley in general) as a group of younguns. I find Lila especially poignant at this age. There's just something extremely sad about her trying to get her father's attention at 12 that, at 16, just seems kinda immature, if that makes any sense.

I get it. Younger Lila striving to get her father's attention makes a little more sense than older Lila who has spent years trying and failing to get him to notice. I do like how they kind of show the evolution of Lila and Jessica though Bruce, who is only a year older, is basically set in his ways pretty early on.

My only issue with SVT is why in the hell anyone put up with Janet. She's almost never given any redeeming qualities or really anything that would lead me to believe the entire school wouldn't have just found a way to turn on her way before the end of the series. I get they needed a villain but it's not like they didn't know how to humanize their alpha brats. Janet's just nasty to everyone, friend and foe alike.
