Work called around noon and we're closing tonight at 8pm and re-opening whenever it's safe, which I would imagine won't be til Friday at the earliest due to the storm still being scheduled to hit us Wed/Thursday.

So I have a long weekend.

I should clean up.

But I'm hot and I don't wanna.

Well, I hope you're able to enjoy this unexpected time off, even in the midst of weather hell.

I'm trying to learn from my last few unexpected storm vacations and not spend hours glued to the hurricane coverage. I've still probably spent more time worrying than I should, considering the storm hasn't really moved in something like 24 hours.

But I cleaned my room up a fair bit and the pre-Halloween cleaning is being done under the guise of pre-hurricane cleaning so that's a win. If the caffeine kicks in, I might even get my cleaning out of the way this morning and have the afternoon free to make a dent in my DW watching.
