Last night was Riverdale's send off for Fred Andrews/Luke Perry. Annnnnd for a show that specializes in batshit crazy, it was subdued and I cried as much as I thought I would and possibly more. I'm glad they didn't choose to rope Fred's death into any of the weirdness and just had him go out an everyday sort of hero.

Also, the only reason I am not being a petty bitch and going around correcting every dumbass misspelling Shannen's name is the knowledge that that is not the point.

I wish the show had done more with him than they actually did but that's how it always goes.

I know it takes 2 seconds to google.

My petty moment was when Grandpa Artie (who FYI died when Fred was 18 hence why he took over the family business)looked to be beyond ancient in that dream sequence.

They massacre canon in every other episode (SVC had less continuity errors I swear) but...here was an opportunity to cast Jason Priestly or someone of that era that knew Luke as Grandpa Artie. I guess technically Artie could have been an older parent but given that he was you know working construction I am dubious.

Apparently there is one more episode until my least favorite RVD plot ends.
