Had I not caved and bought my Shannen smut, I could ask and probably con one out of my mother if I looked longingly enough and pointed out that for that price, I'd still be cheaper than my brother's smoking habit. :p

And today's "Jesus, why did you tell me that again?" moment: My mother telling me she prefers me telling a story to reading anything I've written. Woo.
In other news, I got to see the nephew's house and realized things could be worse. I could live there on a mattress on the floor. Although what's worse than that is if your mattress has a giant slit in it. :p [hers does not]
Oh, and having rancid sour cream just once in your life will make you extremely vigilant in making sure you never repeat that experience again. It's been 6 or 7 years since the unfortunate incident, and I still check dates religiously, still sniff, and usually pawn the tasting/sniffing off on someone else.
