Of Loki and sickness
I know one isn't meant to cross the streams but this was too amusing not to share:
Watched Thor & Loki's Excellent Adventure with Widget last night. Alas, about an hour into it I realized my throat hurt. A lot. So help me, if I'm getting sick again I will murder everyone.
Anyway, as everyone is threatening Loki, Widget says, "He's gonna betray Thor" and I tell him, "Yeah, probably, but I bet you Loki surprises you a few times." He looks all skeptical and just kind of does that, "you're crazy and I am humouring you" nod.
So Loki does his first trick and Widget's all, "I KNEW IT!" and then it turns out that, y'know, he didn't. And I smirk because that's allowed. And then the sad scene and Widget's shocked and the movie continues on until the end.
And when Loki gets his last laugh, this was Widget:
I kid you not. I could not stop watching as realization dawned on Widget.
"B-but how?"
"Well, what's Loki do better than anything else?"
"Tricks! He tricked Thor! But what about-"
Such pride mixed in with the start of a low grade fever that is threatening to spike now. And I have to work tonight.
So. I'm gonna go shower and then snuggle back in bed and wait for tomorrow when I will still have to work but perhaps I will have pudding.
