Merry day after Christmas! Or for those who aren't fussed with Christmas, happy Saturday to you.
How'd everyone's holiday go? Any horror stories? I hope not. Any really good stories? If so, uh, share with the class. Some of us would like to hear. :D
Mine was... eh. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't exactly the Christmas to end all Christmases. I didn't see Widget all day because his mother iscrazy unreasonable a pain in my ass not well acquainted with being able to tell time accurately. Somehow "return Widget in the afternoon" turned into "5:30 at the latest" which naturally turned into 8pm and only after nagging, apparently. So... yeah.
Instead, the boy, Mom, and I exchanged gifts. It was nice. I got a couple of pillows that I'm letting air out because the boy smokes and they kinda smell like that. He also got me some headphones I'm hoping will be awesome. Mums already gifted me Sisters and then she gave me the regular version of Thor 2 so I can watch it not on the computer. Widget and I haven't exchanged gifts but I have my suspicions about what he got me. *eyes it* I'll let you know whether I'm right or not.
It was foggy and hot and the mosquitoes were out in full force. I'd like some winter, please. I also had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas night so that kind of cut into my fun time. A lot. The one good thing about Christmas Eve is that it's sooooo busy that the night flies by. And unlike Christmas night, people are a lot nicer. They're just so grateful that the place is open and that they're not going to give a gift without the batteries or not going to starve because they forgot Christmas means nothing in the Bible Belt is open, regardless of whether you celebrate or not. So the lines are insane but people are generally pretty nice about it.
Christmas, however, people revert to being dicks.
