Day 7

7. Least Favorite arc/mini series:

   The earthquake series, I guess? I've blanked a good chunk of the later minis from memory, probably because I've only read most of them once, so this could change should I actually finish my re-read. I know the later arcs, particularly once they put the Daniel twins on the covers, do horrible things to Liz. Hell, they do horrible things to everyone.
There's a reason I haven't ventured back into that part of SV. Mostly because I prefer my SV with a healthy dose of nostalgia, but also because I remember a lot of annoyance about a lot of what was going on in the books. So we'll go with the Earthquake series because it ends SVH and a lot of what happens in it and the ensuing aftermath that is SY is a retcon of so much of early SVU. I get going out with a bang, but it went out with Devon. Fucking. Whitelaw. And death by fridge is just... Olivia deserved better.

SAS mini haul

Had what was supposed to be a mini-rant about authors and midlife crises and decided to just let that one go. At least a bit longer, anyway.

Instead, my BBW order came in yesterday. It was pretty small and there are a few things I'm kicking myself for not snagging to try but at the same time, I think it's best when you wind up liking everything you buy rather than wanting to return half of it because you were so very, very wrong... and also because BBW wouldn't know how to accurately describe half their stuff.

In any case, I picked up:

Overall, nothing made me wince and wonder why I spent money on that so I'm happy. I kind of want to brave a store but I also don't. Maybe I'll try Monday.
