impy: tori from jackie's strength video (BSC: oh man)

And now we're back to work. Woo.

And so my vacation ends. I didn't accomplish half of what I wanted (ohnoes) but I think we're at that point in the packing where it seems like we've been at this forever (and we have) and we'll never be through and yet in another day or two, depending on how crazy people get, we'll be on the downward slope where everything actually gets easier because you've crossed the 55% mark.

Plus the recycling is today so we'll be able to use the bin again. ;)

I packed up my Sweet Valley University books and the first 79 or so (with doubles thrown in) of the BSC. My Christopher Pike books are packed as are most, if not all, of my RL Stine books including the ones I actually love. (I'm looking at you, Cheerleader books.)

A bunch of my CDs (yes) and DVDs are packed. I tried to get the rest of the house de-Impified but there's only so much one can do with an unusual amount of help. Widget and I assaulted the Office yesterday and Mums and I did a thorough job on Saturday soooo... I guess it just needs someone to come through and finish shit up.

Ain't gonna be me though because I'm back to work. I guess I'll have to see how the schedules are for work and if they're up so I'll know whether I'll be able to put in for any days off during the week of the move. Which is the upshot of not having had my spring vacation, I'll get one summer, one moving, and one fall, I hope.

I think I finally got Widget excited about moving though. I didn't realize he hadn't seen pics of the new place, so I showed him the ones I took and then I tried to show him the ones online but that was a mixed bag. Still, it did the trick. He was all "EEEEEEEEEE!" and it was so cute the way he was so thrilled about "two closets, a light, and a ceiling fan!" (our lights here are shitty. It wasn't so bad until about the time Dad stopped being able to fix them and then it all went to hell.) I think he's begun mentally decorating a room he's never seen because the picture I showed him didn't show much aside from the fan/light/closets.

But if it gets him to stop dragging his feet, I'll take it.

Now, if I could only find my copy of BSC #81, I could resume packing those up. I'm fairly certain [livejournal.com profile] luxken27 sent me a copy or I won one in an auction or something but right now I can't find it to save my life.

I will be happy to send you another copy, LOL! :P Going into the bookstore of awesome and win will be a major temptation, but I might just be able to afford it soon :P

Speaking of sending things - have you sent me anything lately? As in...at all in the last couple of months? Because I haven't received anything, and I never remember to ask if I should be looking for something :P

I haven't. I thought I had but when I did my great "CLEAN ALL THE THINGS" I found your stuff in it's non-mailed envelope. Which Mums then said "sure, yeah, I'll drop that off" and it's still sitting in the living room. Tonight when I go to work, if it's still here, I'm leaving it in the car so I'll drop it off in the morning. One way or another, you should expect a giant bubble mailer filled with magazine-y goodness sometime next week.

For real. Seriously this time.

LOL, no rush - I was just deathly afraid the post office had lost the package, which would be about par for the course with my luck these days, would've made me even more depressed than I already am. So yay that the USPS didn't drop the ball here. Yet :P Just lemme know when I should be on the look out!
