AG New Release Roundup
First up on our Annual GOTY roundup, let me point out that for the first time, AG has set up an easy way for you to donate to the year's charity of choice. This year's is No Kid Hungry and if you'd like to donate $1, $5, or $10, you might want to click here. I o wonder if you'll be able to use this to top off an order to reach, say, $100 to use free shipping when those codes roll out later in the year. In any case, I thought this was worth sharing right away. :)
There is no Starter Set this year sadly, but if you're interested in Grace, there are numerous ways to buy the doll.

Doll and paperback book : $120
Doll with book and exclusive earring set $136

Doll, book, earrings, and Welcome Gifts $163 (you save $5 when you buy the doll and the Welcome Gifts together)
Or Doll, Book, and Welcome Gifts for $147
Meet Grace, 2015 Girl of the Year™! She’s a big-ideas girl who makes baking her business. The 18" Grace doll has sparkling blue eyes that open and close, a sprinkling of freckles on her nose, and long dark-brown hair with sideswept bangs and a tiny accent braid. She has a huggable cloth body, and her movable head and limbs are made of smooth vinyl. She comes with the Grace paperback book, plus her Paris welcome outfit:
A white top with a sparkly Paris graphic
A pink skirt with a black bow on the front
A charm bracelet that Mom gave her
Gray ankle boots with gathered straps and bows on the sides
Pink underwear
Add ear piercing to your order and your doll will arrive with pierced ears plus two silvery Eiffel Tower dangles, a pair of red heart studs, and a pair of blue bow studs.

AG is run by sneaky bastards. Everyone was so worried about the price being hiked again on the doll that it didn't really occur to anyone initially that the earrings would be separate. And the catalog description makes it sound like you can't get it in store, but that seems a bit ridiculous.
I passed on these after thinking about it. I rarely change the earrings on my three who can wear them (Ivy, Saige, and Lizbeth) and I'm not really wanting to blow an extra $16 on something I don't love.

Grace's Welcome Gifts
Item# CGD18 // $32
Special Offer: Save $5 when you buy the Grace™ Doll & Book and Grace's Welcome Gifts!
Grace’s family in France welcomes her to Paris with these sweet presents:
A box of faux macarons
An Eiffel Tower cookie bag from her aunt’s bakery
A bouquet of pretend flowers wrapped in polka-dotted paper
Three Paris postcards for her to send back home
A pink felt beret with an embroidered heart and sequin details

A blue tee with a swirly cupcake print and three-quarter sleeves
A black knit apron dress with a pink dotted print, a pink waistband, and striped bow accents
Pink knit leggings
Blue ballet-flat shoes with black cord bows
A knotted pink elastic headband
For $34, I'm going to need some "real" photos to push me over the edge. As it is now I'm still firmly in the meh category.

Grace's Baking Set
Item# CGD21 // $68
Grace loves to invent new recipes, and this detailed set has everything she needs to whip up something wonderful! It features:
A shiny blue mixer that really spins at the touch of a button, with removable beaters and bowl
A sifter with a handle that turns
Pretend flour
A set of measuring cups
A pastry cutter
A wooden spoon
A baking booklet with real recipes inside
A pretend tablet with a built-in stand and pretend stylus pen for writing down ideas
Three interchangeable images that slide into the tablet to look like different baking websites
I love everything about this except for the price. D:

Grace's Pajamas for Dolls
Item# CGD14 // $24
Grace can dream up her next big idea in these pajamas. They include:
A pale-blue knit top with a satin bow and lace trim on the neckline
Wide-leg pajama pants with blue ruffles at the hems and a Parisian icon print
Blue velour slippers with bows on the toes
A knotted ponytail holder

The cute, it buuuuuuuuurrrrrrrnnnnnnnnnsssssss!
And yes, I'm well aware that as far as AG 'jamas go, this isn't special in any way but since I rarely bite on the GOTY pajamas for whatever reason, this means I don't have 50 similar sets already. :D

Grace's French Bulldog
Item# CGD19 // $22
Grace names this adorable black-and-white puppy “Bonbon.” She has a cuddly body and a cute embroidered face, and wears a chic black hairbow under one ear. Her collar and leash are red grosgrain with white stitching, and the leash folds up into a bow that’s held in place by a strap on the collar.
First pet (in awhile? ever?) to have sewn eyes and not the glass/plastic/marble eyes. I like it but other people are shrieking about not liking it. Your mileage may vary, clearly.

Grace's City Outfit for Dolls
Item# CGD17 // $34
Grace is ready to discover Paris in this stylish outfit. It features:
A bright-red sweater with a white mock collar and a knit graphic on the front with sequin accents
Textured black shorts with silvery sparkles woven in
Pink ballet-flat shoes with red toe caps and bows on the front
A pretty red headband with a double ribbon bow on the side
I came thisclose to buying this to go with Grace. I just didn't want to blow damn near $200 right off the bat otherwise... yeah. I would've snagged it and regretted nothing!

Grace's Paris Accessories
Item# CGD26 // $32
Grace feels très chic when she goes out into the city with these accessories:
A white polka-dot purse
Fingerless gloves
A pretend Paris metro pass
Faux lip gloss
A glittery heart-shaped coin purse with an Eiffel Tower graphic
The superior accessory set as far as I'm concerned. See: Did not want to spend that much Day 1 as the reason it's not on its way.

Grace's Opening-Night Outfit for Dolls
Item# CGD16 // $38
Grace is so excited to wear this pretty outfit for the bakery’s grand reopening—and her French cousin Sylvie’s visit to America! It includes:
A shimmery sequined pink dress with a mesh overlay on the skirt and a black velveteen waistband
Strappy black-and-silver shoes
A black headband with a fluffy pink mesh fan on the side
The 80's are calling and I am answering.

Grace's Pastry Cart
Item# CGD25 // $150
Grace’s family made this pastry cart especially for her. It has faux-marble counters, a clear pastry shelf, a covered case that opens, a push handle, and wheels that really roll. It comes with pretend treats and everything she needs for her baking business:
A raspberry tart and chocolate tart, plus two tart boxes
Two cupcakes and a cupcake box
Two stacks of French macarons with a printed box
A white cake with a cake box
A berry pastry and chocolate pastry
Two baguettes in a paper-sleeve wrapper
A two-sided menu that hangs from the top bar of the cart, with stickers for customizing
A tiered stand, a silvery paper cake plate, and two scalloped doilies
Two shopping bags for Grace’s customers, with handles that dolls can really hold
A sales pouch that holds faux money, her business cards, and a booklet to track her sales
A little metal bell, plus stickers for the pastry boxes
That price. The fact that MH has a version of this... nope, but thanks for trying, AG!

Grace's Travel Set
Item# CGD20 // $44
Bon voyage, Grace! She’s off to Paris with this set, including:
A red suitcase with a retractable handle, satin lining with interior pockets, and wheels that really roll
A pretend heart-shaped luggage lock that can open and close
A luggage tag in the shape of the Eiffel Tower
Pretend passport and plane tickets
A travel journal containing a few of Grace’s entries
I still balk at the price.

Grace's Travel Coat for Dolls
Item# CGD27 // $28
When the seasons start to turn, on-the-go Grace is ready with this stylish blue button-up trench coat. It has black ribbon accents and a bow at the waist.

I see this picture and for some reason all my brain sees is big hair, and apparently when it sees big, dark hair it thinks, "Suzanne Sugarbaker!" and I don't know why I'm sharing this other than because I can.

Grace's Bistro Set
Item# CGD22 // 85
Grace loves the sidewalk bistros in Paris! This set is just like one from her story, featuring:
A table for one with a faux-marble top and a cast-metal base
A red metal chair with the shape of the Eiffel Tower on the back and a blue seat cushion
Faux fruit
A pretend croissant
A make-believe wedge of brie
A paper menu
An Eiffel Tower-shaped menu holder
A plate
A checkered napkin
A carafe of pretend sparkling water
A water glass with a pretend lemon and straw
A two-sided sidewalk menu with faux chalkboards
Two sheets of menu stickers for customizing the sign

Grace's French Bakery
Item# CGD23 // $500
The moment when Grace steps into her aunt and uncle’s pâtisserie in Paris is just magical—and your girl can immerse herself in that magical world with this bright wooden bakery. It opens up in the center with two French doors to reveal a shop and kitchen with shelves, a pretend stove and sink, and an arched pick-up window with a service counter. Also includes:
A fancy bakery case for displaying goodies, with a shelf and faux-marble countertops
A cute pretend refrigerator with a door that opens
Make-believe baking ingredients: a flour box, sugar box, two sprinkle jars, pastry dough, a pastry bag for decorating, milk, and eggs
Doll-sized baking supplies: a mixing bowl, whisk, spatula, hot pad, baking sheet, tart pan, cupcake pan, and rolling pin
Lots of pretend French treats: four cupcakes, two croissants, two stacks of macarons, two baguettes, two chocolate tarts, two berry tarts, two lime tarts, three large pink berry macarons, and two strawberry bars, and two pastries, plus sparkling water
Two plates, four napkins, a pink pastry dome, a serving plate, and a silver-colored stand
Pretend money, paper menus, and recipe cards
An "open" sign and a reversible poster
A cupcake box, macaron box, two tart boxes, two paper baguette sleeves, and shopping bags
That price, AG. I hope it bites you in the ass like the Bitty Baby hike did. (They're down to $60, btw.)

New picture is new. I'm a little vexed that we get a darker haired GOTY and they still manage to try and lighten her hair in pictures. Oi. Just... oi. But the dress and the apron make me laugh so I share.
And now for some non-Grace stuff!

Can't remember if the Starry Silver or Shimmer and Shine purses are actually new. They're both $10 each, though.

Striped Sport Shoes $14

Sporty Sandals and Socks Set $14
I have never seen so many people lose their minds over the idea of socks/sandals before. I swear, for every sane person pointing out that this is NOT a new idea in reality, you had three people clutching their pearls wondering why, why, why the ugliness was allowed and if we were sure this wasn't a cast instead of socks. Dude, I cannot begin to count the number of ways I've seen this combo in real life and I myself am guilty of doing it, too. I just don't have the same shoes. My brother, however, does, and it's going to take all my willpower to not buy this set and leave it on a doll where he'll see it. :P
Bitty Baby has:

Ribbons & Ruffles Outfit $28
Nice use of a bitty who looks like Grace.

Bitty's Bunny Sleeper $18 which, again, may not actually be new. It's on backorder so who knows.
And Bitty Twins bring us:

Sunshine Play Outfit $26
(Cute but I hate the cloth body seams on the Bitties so...)

Drummin' Up Fun Outfit $26 with a matching drum/tambourine set for $20.
No new BeForever stuff, but they are doing a monthly spotlight on the BF characters and we begin with Kit:

There is no Starter Set this year sadly, but if you're interested in Grace, there are numerous ways to buy the doll.

Because Suzanne Sugarbaker is clearly superior and Queen of the Big Haired Broads :D
I can't believe that bakery scene set is $500. Now that's audacity!!
And the bunny sleeper outfit is adorable ♥

That bakery is $500 and it's selling like hotcakes. Stores are selling out of it, which means people are lugging this monstrosity (it's huge! The box is ginormous!) home in their car and paying super fun taxes on this item bringing it closer to $600 and they're doing it happily.
The mind is completely boggled, truly.
