AG Summer Release: Part 1
Okay, I tried to do all this in one go but I'm starving and I got home late so we're going to divide today's release in two parts. Up first is the BeForever section since the historical stuff is way more interesting to me this go round.
ADDY:

Addy's Nightgown // $24

Item #CKB97
When it’s time for bed in Philadelphia, Addy wears this nightgown, which Momma made with love in every pretty detail. Addy adores the powder-blue lace trim, the fancy embroidery, and the sweet blue ribbon accent. It comes with matching hair bows and knit slippers with scalloped edges.
I think this is a very pretty addition to Addy's collection. Her previous nightgown was definitely for colder nights and this one feels more summery. It's also fancier with the embroidery. I see the ghost of Cecile lingers on in the slippers we've repurposed and changed colors and snuck into Addy's nightwear. Please note that this is $24 and you get more than the previous set had at the end. Hair bows and footwear. Huzzah for hitting the price ceiling.
I wants.

Addy's Bed & Bedding // $85

Item #CKB98
Once Addy and her family move into the boarding house, she has a bed of her own for the very first time. It features:
A sturdy wooden bedframe with an authentic “fly-specked” finish
A checkered pillow trimmed in ruffles
A muslin mattress that’s supported by woven rope instead of bedsprings, as was typical in Addy’s day
A beautifully detailed quilt—inspired by a Civil War era design—with nine squares depicting Addy’s family album
I have Addy's bed. I don't have her bedding but I'll live. It's a good bed, though, and it's easy to assemble and disassemble for moving or storage as it also folds up very flat.

Addy's Bedroom Accessories // $45 (Seems to be on SALE for $42?)

Item #CKB99
When it’s time for Addy to settle down to sleep, she can’t do without her favorite things:
A brass-toned lantern that Addy can really hold—it lights up at the turn of the wick knob
Her bedtime book, Mother Goose in Hieroglyphics, which is full of rebuses: puzzles made up of words and symbols
Her beloved Ida Bean rag doll, made by Momma with love
Ida Bean makes her triumphant return, sans earrings. It's a pretty simple set, especially when compared to the others. I wonder if it's really on sale or if it's the AG IT department sucking once more? It's hard to believe this set is the same as Kit's, though Kit would probably cut someone to get her doll back.

Nightgown for Girls.
JOSEFINA:

Josefina's Nightgown // $24

Item #CKB91
When the sun sets in the New Mexico sky, Josefina gets ready for bed with this cotton nightgown. The square neckline is trimmed in crochet, and a bright coral ribbon is woven through the bodice. Josefina sewed two grow pleats at the hem, a popular way to make clothes last longer in her day. Includes faux-suede slippers with traditional Southwestern embroidery at the toes.
I dig the shoes. I'm kinda eh on the rest. I think this is going to wind up being one of those very simple pieces that looks good but doesn't immediately wow you when you think of it, though that may change when seen in person? If nothing else, it looks like it'll introduce a fancier camisa into her wardrobe and that's good.

Josefina's Bed & Bedding // $85
Item #CKB92
When night falls on the rancho, Josefina can have sweet dreams with this set:
Her wooden bed—it has a distressed off-white finish and a carved head and footboard
A soft mattress, called a colchon
A plump pillow, called an almohada
A bright woven blanket to ensure a good night’s rest
We're still ignoring the fact that Josefina didn't sleep on a bed in her books? Oh, okay. Well, carry on then. This is pretty but it's relying a lot on the blanket to carry it, color wise. I really see this one getting bought and then given new bedding by people. Sorta like the dolls get bought and then shucked outta history. (Le gasp! I'm guilty of this so no real judgment.)

Josefina's Nighttime Accessories // $45
Item #CKB93
Josefina likes to have her favorite things close by at nighttime:
A candle in its silver-colored candlestick for light after dark
A quill pen and inkwell to practice her penmanship
A faux-leather ledger the Montoya family uses to keep track of business on the rancho
A faux-leather notebook that’s filled with poems, proverbs, songs, and sayings that Tía Dolores learned from Mamá
Her beloved doll, Niña, made by Mamá
Niña also returns! Again, without the earrings. Josefina actually made out with some pretty interesting accessories. I think I like them all, actually. There's a lot of Mamá love in this set and it's nice that they're throwing back to the books on this. Good job, AG.

Desert Dreams Pajamas for Girls
JULIE:

Julie's Zigzag Pajamas // $24

Item #CKB85
Julie can light up the night in these bright pajamas! They include:
A soft pink top with a sunburst graphic and a gathered waist with a ribbon bow
Pants that feature a “far-out” zigzag pattern and yellow pom-pom fringe at the hem
Pink terry slippers
I actually prefer the girl's pajamas to these. I don't like the pom-pom fringe (accurate as hell, yes, but not my taste) and overall this is doing nothing for me. But Julie the model here is adorable.

Julie's Bed & Bedding // $125

Item #CKB87
Moving to a new apartment with her mom and sister means big changes for Julie, including a new room! This set includes:
Julie’s bed: a purple wooden four-poster with a funky orange canopy and cascading beads at each corner
A soft orange mattress
An orange pillow with embroidered trim
A reversible quilt (floral on one side, orange on the other)
A furry flower-shaped throw pillow
For someone who loves Halloween, I'm not a huge fan of orange. I dunno, it's interesting but it's expensive and I'm good without it. It is noticeably different from the previous version while still not being a completely different thing. New colors, basically, but they're bolder. Whatever makes you happy, Julie.

Julie's Daisy Vanity Set // $60

Item #CKB88
Julie loves using her vanity—that is, when her sister Tracy isn’t hogging it! It has a daisy-shaped mirror with “petal” lights that really work and a pedestal base. Along with the vanity, this set also includes:
A matching stool with a furry seat
An orange owl alarm clock with hands that move
An orange hairbrush that Julie can hold
She can hold that brush but it's non-functional. WTF. I like the owl. I will need to overcome my fear of calling sometime in the next few months to see if I can get that sucker as a replacement part. Otherwise, I really did think this was a Bitty Twin item originally. Sorry, Julie. Not even Ivy could talk me into this.

Julie's Zigzag Pajamas for Girls
KAYA:

Kaya's Pow-Wow Dress of Today // $42

Item #CKC00
Modern-day girls from the Nez Perce tribe often dress in beautiful garments for pow-wows. This one features:
A modern-day fringed dress accented with turquoise fabric and colorful embroidery, plus a woven belt and rows of satin ribbon trim
Turquoise boots with embroidered details
An embroidered hair comb with two feathers
Kaya might have only gotten one item, but at least it's a pretty item. The theme of this release seems to have been embroidery, and it's not a bad theme to have. This dress reminds me of a doll dress I used to have when I was little, but it's mostly in the colors used. I'd imagine the hefty price tag is due to how much work went into the making of the dress.

Blue Patterned Pajamas for Girls
KIT:

Kit's One-Piece Pajamas // $24

Item #CKB86
Mother made these cozy pajamas to keep Kit warm on chilly Cincinnati nights. Considered quite practical in Kit’s day, this one-piece union suit features a cute puppy print, button details, and a real “drop seat” on the back! Includes matching coral scuff slippers to keep her toes toasty.
That just looks... Kit. I've got no words. Just... *buries head in hands*
That flap.
*dead*

Kit's Radio Set // $42

Item #CKB90
In the 1930s, families would gather together around the radio to get the news, follow radio serials, or listen to “Fireside Chats ” from President Roosevelt. This radio has a dial that lights up, a volume control knob, and a tuning knob that moves the tuning needle when turned. Your girl can hear real recorded news from the 1930s, or attach the included 3.5mm audio cable to her own electronic music player to listen to her own favorite songs. This set also includes a mini abridged Robin Hood book given to Kit by her brother, plus a felt baseball pennant.
Please note:
Electronic music player not included.
Radio requires 3 AAA batteries (not included)
SUCK IT, people who bitched that Kit wouldn't have listened to modern music and WHERE'S THE HISTORICAL ACCURACY. [/wailing] It plays news from the 30's OR you could plug it in and listen to more modern stuff or, I dunno, listen to some oldies in a more modern way. Imagine that. I really want this sucker, though that pennant is pretty generic. I'm impressed they didn't charge more.

Kit's Bed & Bedding // $95

Item #CKB89
Moving to the attic to make room for boarders was a big change for Kit, but she can dream of brighter days ahead with this set that features:
An aqua-painted metal bed frame that can fold out to become a double bed for sleepovers
A soft white mattress and a pillow for a good night’s sleep
A pinwheel quilt in cheerful shades of aqua, pink, and coral accented with pretty floral squares
A throw pillow with an embroidered pinwheel to match
Fear not, Ruthie can still sleep over with Kit. Huzzah!

Puppy Print PJS for Girls
REBECCA:

Rebecca's Satin Pajamas // $24

Item #CKB94
These two-piece pajamas are perfect for Rebecca’s bedtime in New York:
A lilac satin top with frog closures, a front pocket, and contrast piping
Matching pants with piping at the cuffs
A striped hairbow
Purple slippers with pink bows
So Rebecca stole Ruthie's pajamas, eh? Bad form, Rebecca. Bad form. It's funny, as much as I like the color for her bed, I dislike it in PJ form. I don't know why, though I think that bow has a lot to do with it. I like them separately (or at least well enough) but together my brain screams no, over and over. I might be crazy. You decide. In any case, I don't think this shade is doing Rebecca any favors. I think a darker shade suits her better and this in between is just helping to wash her out.

Rebecca's Bed & Bedding // $125

Item #CKB95
As night falls in New York City, Rebecca can dream of starring on the silver screen. This set features:
A metal scrollwork bed adorned with golden medallions
A plush mattress for a good night’s rest
A white lace bedspread lined in purple fabric and trimmed with sheer ruffles
A striped pillow that fits into an embroidered white bolster with tassels on the sides
Oh sweet flip, I love this. I thought Rebecca's bed before was very pretty, but for some reason the switch to purple (lilac?) is killing me. In a good way. I'm not likely to ever pick it up (see the price tag and the fact that this bed isn't tiny) but I will forever prefer this version to the previous. Burn me at the stake as a heretic, I care not!

Rebecca's Bedroom Accessories // $45

Item #CKB96
Rebecca keeps her most cherished treasures safe in her bedroom. This set includes:
Four painted nesting dolls, a traditional Russian toy—each one fits inside the next
A wooden box with a set of doll-sized dominoes that can actually be played
A mini abridged Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm book
A cloth bag for holding Rebecca’s crochet supplies: an ornate crochet hook and a finished lace doily
Fans have been asking for Rebecca's dolls since she was introduced way back in 2009. Better late than never, I suppose. This accessory kit actually looks like fun. You can play with the dominoes and the dolls, read the book (well, as much as you can any abridged book) and pretend with the rest. Plus you get a doll bag for storage and it's pretty! Seriously A+ work here, AG.

I agree with you on
Dawn'sJulie's PJs (lol seriously?! and that bedding is an allergy attack waiting to happen!).And I think Rebecca has nicer bedding than I currently have (or ever had, for that matter) o.O I hope she was never supposed to be from the poor side of town?
