Stuffs
The one good thing about frantic cleaning time is that it sets the stage for my decorating for Halloween/Fall. Normally by now I'd have the pumpkins out already and probably would have snuck in a few more Halloween-y things but it's been so damn hot that I wilt just thinking about trying to dig out my Halloween boxes, let alone putting anything up. I'm hoping to rectify that this weekend but we'll see how things play out.
I'm looking forward to Saturday, I think that's when the Yankee Halloween stuff launches. I have my eye on a couple of things but I don't think I've left myself fall too deeply in love with anything to avoid heartbreak. I hope. And Thursday is when the AG stuff drops, so this week is basically something every day for me. Plus BBW seems to be sneaking their Halloween goodies online today!
I do hope that today's rumor of rain is true. We're definitely in a drought and the ponds are drying up and I'm worrying that we'll end up with another thing like last October when it flooded... only I think we'd be worse off now because it hasn't really rained substantially in such a long while. We get afternoon sprinkles but usually in summer we'd get a morning or afternoon storm that would drench everything and then move on. Yeah, no. :/
And a quick perusal of the Weather Channel site dashed those hopes and shifted them to next week. But that's how it's been all summer. I look and it says "end of this week, start of next week" and then the rain never comes.
Enough weather chatter.
My replacement Birchbox came and the makeup inside was shattered. Looking at the way it was packaged, I'll be surprised if mine was the only one to arrive in a useless cloud of dust. There's too much space. The tissue paper kind of held everything in place but the foam inserts don't do a damn thing to keep things from jostling about in transit.
Hours later, I seem to have fallen and ordered two Halloween things from BBW (the haunted house wallflower nightlight and a ghost candle holder, if you were curious) and two beach night shea creams because sale and it hit $30 dead on the nose. I also now have a small wishlist for this Saturday's Yankee release and still have not done my Melody chatter which I've been meaning to do since Saturday.
However, I do have steps that are 80% less covered in dog fur so there's that.
Now... do I order the pretty WnW mascaras (I can't believe I missed the Fall collection box) or do I play chicken with work?

I love that WnW has an online store now, so you don't miss LE collections just because they don't come to your region or store. They have the WalMart exclusive palettes up now, too, saving me from having to step foot in that store :P That said, I'm planning to hit up the Good Wags during my vacation next week. I'm not sure about the fall stuff TBH; I need to see it in person.
I hope there's a Halloween release - I want some new nail polish, dammit!
Yay for werkin the B&BW sales to your advantage, hehe :D I am living in hope that the summer stuff will still be around when its fall clearance time because I am loving the Live Fresh/Seaside Breeze and want ALL THE THINGS, LOL ♥ I'm also looking forward to burning my candles next week when I'm home bc they are divine!
