impySo, it's NYE. I guess this is where I should take stock of the year and maybe hope for something for the new one, but I'm not going to think too much about the coming year. I suppose looking back is okay, but apparently I have blocked a fair amount of the year out beyond a general fog of fuck this, fuck that, fuck me, fuck you and I don't really want to poke too much to find things perhaps better left forgotten, at least for now.
Seems fitting on some level that I spent December 30th doing battle with Amazon's CS and coming to, at best, a draw. (tl;dr- My Arcane Funko order was jinxed, ironically enough. Despite checking multiple times to make sure my giftcard balance was used first, my order went entirely on my debit card. Spoke to CS via chat twice prior to the order processing and both swore up and down that what I was seeing was wrong and that on their end it was fine. Had to speak to three people on the phone to basically get a $20 credit.)
Lesse. What did 2024 bring? Well, it killed Shannen Doherty, so fuck that. Took most of the people I liked at work away. It kicked my period into crazy territory, which I would very much like to cease. And uh, oh yeah, the country decided to take extra crazy pills.
Let's stick to more fun stuff, I suppose.
Used 113 or so polishes this year, though I did re-use some of those more than once. Not terrible? I was hoping to totally finish swatching before the end of the year, and it's possible I'll get off my duff and do the Holo Taco order in the next few hours, but I'll also be happy just being this close.
Also, this year I found the perfect black holo polish, and as someone who has spent the last *refuses to do the math* forever trying a zillion and one options, this feels like a miracle. It's ILNP's Cityscape and it's a jelly scattered black holo that is legit black and not dark grey, or very dark purple/blue/whatever. Black and rainbows, people!
In terms of spending, I refuse to look and do any math, but I'm reasonably sure I spent less this year on polish than previous years, so yay for that. Tried to stick to either colors that grabbed and held my attention long after the initial viewing or something totally unique or would be an absolute PITA to trackdown later.
Best new tv show goes to Agatha All Along.
A Man on the Inside was cute though.
Arcane ended and it managed to mostly stick the landing once I had time to think about it.
Interview's second season was amazing.
Gotta shower now, my brain is all jumbled and frazzled.

Dutch Tulips and Grand Canyon Sunset seem to be part of their original release, so I'm guessing also Classics. I know some of these, like GCS, got re-released as part of a Fan Favorite Infinite Shine line, too.
I'm Indi-a a Mood for Love is from their Spring 2006 India Collection.
Suzi Sells Sushi by the Seashore is from the Spring 2005 Japan Collection.
Suzi's Hungary Again! is from their Spring 2013 Euro Centrale collection.
That was fun! Hopefully it was also helpful? Understood on not necessarily being your taste but they're at least solidly pretty color options, at least in the swatches I found. Huzzah!
