Went shopping for Dad's father's day gift. Stopped at Toys R Us because there's this MyScene [skanky barbie friends!] sale, but when asked, our store stubbornly clung to the "you must buy something 19.99 or more, not a bunch of things that equal 19.99 or more to get your freebie. That is NOT what the signs said, but dude, I had three things in my hand and still couldn't reach $19.99 without using the one I wanted as a freebie to up the price. :p So I kissed Kenzie goodbye and said I'd wait until she was on sale for real. Also did not move the snowbunny barbie so the display would fall on my head, thus giving me a reason to sue the pants off the store. Did warn an employee though, because I was feeling kind. sigh.

Went to Bed, Bath, & Beyond for Dad's gift. They didn't have the exact thinger he wanted, so I bought the one they did have. Cheaper and thus I wandered around the store and found this set of glasses [cobalt blue and oh so pretty and breakable] so I figured I'd buy that too. I figured I could wrap it up and tell him he could break one a month and by next year I could buy a whole new set. This amused Mumsy. Even with the lack of wrapping paper [but it's still in the budget, I think] it was still cheaper than what I was originally set to pay. Thought of Jake because they started playing Corrs stuff as we were in line.

So I went back to World Market and didn't really plan on buying a thing. I was foolish. You don't take someone who can look at various things, no matter where in the world they came from and say, "I remember that. I used to love eating those" and things of that nature to this place. You will want to buy them stuff. So I bought me some booze, Mumsy some booze, and then she finally settled on these Hello Kitty "biscuits with chocolate creme". Fantabulous. I didn't even get carded despite the fact that Mumsy wasn't with me at the checkout. [some people don't bother to card if you're with someone obviously old enough because you'll just give them the cash anyway] Fun.

Then off to Manifest because I wanted to see if they had anything that spoke to me. Checked used, sort of, but nothing really screamed at me. Bitter Beastie Boys did nothing to make me want to stay in and shop for awhile, so I headed over to Tori where they seemed to have gotten more singles in. Thought briefly of getting God, Talula, and Caught A Lite Sneeze, but realized I didn't want to spend 20 something bucks in singles today. Decided on just getting God. So, I bought it and walked back to the car where Mumsy pretended to tsk tsk about not saying I could buy something, and I replied, "But I had to buy God." She just looked at me...

Off to the library where no LXG was to be found. But they did have Obsidian Butterfly, so happy dance for me. Off to Bi-Lo where my feet began to hurt and they had no little pizzas, but they did have icecream. Yum. And butterscotch caramel topping. Oh yeah. Off to Food Lion because Captain D's was too frickin' expensive for my tastes, and since I don't love seafood...Food Lion it was. Where Mom bought stuff to make crab wonton things. Yummy!

Yeah. Now people are trying to steal my time at 7am too. Damn it, you'd think buying people food every other week would mean you'd get some fucking peace in the morning. You would apparently think wrong.

Those Hello Kitty biscuits/cookies with chocolate cream? Nasty. Mom lied to me. Tried to convince me they weren't that bad. So I tried one and I swear my first thought was this mental audio clip of something Ryan said once. I don't even remember the whole thing, but profanity and just pure shock that something could be so disgusting.

Yes. My brain is wired so that I can randomly remember things people say, in their voices, but not recall the whole thing later. :p So, yes. I do hear voices. But it's usually an echo in my head. Like occasionally I will wake out of a sound sleep and think someone was calling me. They weren't. Or else people are just as twisted as I am and are lying to me when I ask. Hrmm. I think that happened last night too. I remember waking up, all freaked out about something. But I don't remember what or why.

Made some crab wontons today. Me! I made them. They were freakishly good. I've found that most things taste better if someone else makes it. But there are exceptions. I think I make better fajitas than my mother, and I know I make better tacos, and for quite awhile I made damn good spaghetti. I make those beef cubes in every flavor better than she does, except if mushrooms are needed because I hate them. She makes a better pb&j, and tuna sammich. Anyway, good stuff. The odd thing about all this is the fact that I don't really like crab. :p

*hums* We like Dexter Freebish. We do. We worry that they spend entirely too much time in Charleston since you can't go two months without them having a concert, but if I were interested in seeing them live, this would be a good thing, eh?

I might be going to Hades this evening. Hades=C-ass's apartment. We'll see. I should probably free up the phone line though.

So freakin' tired.
