I fell off the wagon Monday. :p When I was shopping for C-ass and the birthday of doom, I hit Books-A-Million. Where they were having a Buy2Get1Free thing on manga. So... um, yeah. If I remember correctly Davidy kept bitching about Chobits, so I grabbed 1-3, another title I don't remember [not part of the sale] and the gifts for other people. I blew $66 in record time. And the worst part? If I didn't have to pay off other stuff, I'd have gone back and bought more. :p To cut myself a little slack, I bought nine or ten things, and only four of them were for me [and one of those was free] but still.
But I won't start on them until I finish this volume of InuYasha. I'd wait longer, but I forgot to request the other 4 volumes the library was getting. Oops. So I spent yesterday morning putting in holds for just about every series that looked at all interesting.
Need to check the paypal account, I suspect I owe money and my email is being a whore.
Work. They fired [I think] Sunshine! [she who trained me and sings you are my sunshine when we're both there at the same time, ever so briefly] This kills me and not in a fun way. I'm almost positive she was fired just from the way people are acting. No one will say anything more than, "they don't work here anymore". They being Sunshine and three other employees. One has been gone for about a week, but in the two days I wasn't there, they got rid of three people. Two of them had been there longer than most anyone else in the store. I worry. I liked the second person and the third? If she quit and wasn't fired, I'll be shocked. She's been skating on thin ice ever since they hired her. But when asked the odds of her getting fired [this was a couple of weeks ago] we were told not bloody likely. Yet... she's gone now. The last time they were half this stingy with details was when the newest recruit to the cult failed the initial drug test... but had been working for three days. :p
Sad. And worried a bit, because I fully expected Sunshine to set fire to the corporate ladder the way they pretty much put her in charge of whatever the hell she wanted. o_O
Annnnnnnnnyway. I need sleep. And I must resist the urge to watch last night's Supernatural or any of the Desperate Housewives extras [yes, I did buy the DVDs yesterday.] because I really, really need sleep.
If you are not C-ass and think, maybe, kinda, sorta, yes I should have gotten you a gift, chances are I am. It's just I take forever if you're not close enough to physically smack me for being late. :p
