Yet another day without rain. You suck, weather.
This morning, as I was trying to will people away from the store and read my Blender, the day manager comes in and rushes right to the counter. Crap, what'd I do? Seems a woman is claiming I somehow didn't give her the proper change from a fifty on Monday night. Which is entirely possible, in that way where mostly anything is possible, only she then went on to create this fabulous tale where I told her there was no manager on duty, that she'd have to come back tomorrow, and at least one other thing I don't remember. I'm not sure it's possible to make the universal, "wtf?" face and still look reasonably intelligent, but I tried, dammit. Not only would the money have shown up as extra in the drawer... and then it hit me, as he said something along the lines of looking at the tape, that Christ on a cracker, they could think I stole the money.
... Luckily, it seems as if her various add ons to the story of doom protect me [as does the whole they couldn't catch me on film doing something I didn't do thing] because they just sound so. friggin. stupid.
Meh. Still, the tiny little panic prone Imp in my head is screaming.
Finally got off my duff and finished [for the most part, I suppose] the DF registration. Namely, seeing if it went through and all I'm waiting on is the goodies. I am. Yay. I'm still not entirely sure why I joined other than I wanted to a few years ago and the desire was still there. It's hard to describe why I'm sort of iffy about it other than years ago I learned that official boards tended to be lurking grounds for the most vexing sort of fan.
Alas, I'm exhausted. Did I mention the Widget is here? If not, well, now I have. If so, two mentions won't kill you. Or at least I should hope not.
Oh, Blender's 'article' on MTV and their overly skanky dating shows was different. Different in that it started out seeming as if they were going to blast the network and the people on the shows for putting that much crap out there. Either they changed their mind halfway through or I was expecting more snark than I was given. Woe. Though hearing/reading anyone at MTV try and say they don't veer off into raunchy territory is mind blowing, as for a moment you sort of wonder if they believe it.
