Egads, Brain, tis almost Christmas. Which means little for the people who are all, "fuck Christmas and the donkey it rode in on!" buuuuut it means I have a bunch of gifts to wrap and... no energy to do so. This might have something to do with working for nine hours, then having to run and hit the mall, which was packed, despite the fact that it wasn't even 10am yet. I did learn a couple of things yesterday.
1) FYE = hell. No way around it. I only go in about once a year, but each time I do, my soul curls up in the corner and dies. And then I go into sticker shock when I see the prices. Christ, guys, you're down the glorified hall from Target. While you can price gouge on the anime stuff til you die, the prices on some of the other crap shouldn't be so high. That said, I think someone bought something for me from their poster section. Maybe. Possibly. I could hope...
2) I have always hated Victoria's Secret. I continue to hate it. I spent fifteen minutes in line just to buy a stupid giftcard. The place is set up for midgets. I can understand [and hate] the set up for the painfully skinny, but the fact that it's all set up so the shortest people in the room don't have to even think about reaching for anything? Yeah, that was a bit jarring.
Totally unrelated, but I hate it when someone asks, "What does ___ mean?" and when it's not an easy answer, like the definition of a word, they're told, "Whatever it means to you." If I wanted the stupid answer, I'd have added, "please speak moronic to me." Yes, there are plenty of things in the world that are subjective, and chances are good we're talking about one of those, but God, guys, is it that hard to share your opinion? [It's one thing if the question is ignored, but when 15 people reply with the annoying answer above, I want to shoot someone.] For the record, someone was asking about the meaning of a song.
Chill showed up yesterday. I'm debating wrapping her and putting her under the tree. Thing is, I wants my dolly crack... and I don't want to chance the puppy eating her box. On the other hand, Pullip present from me to me. Choices.
