mourning wail
Sep. 23rd, 2007 06:56 amA world without Bernice is not a world I want to contemplate living in.
In other news, Cassy got her present. I'll have to call her today to find out how the rest of her birthday went, but the part she spent here was... weird. I met Liz's new boyfriend, and maybe meeting someone for the first time while they're in the midst of a diabetic freakout is not the best first impression, nor is it when the dog bites them. I don't think Angel likes skinny people. Anyway, he was... different, but one cannot be held totally accountable for the weirdness that happens when desperately in need of something more than a glass of juice. ... right?
So how did I spend my first Saturday off in months? Watching shitty TV and then sleeping. It was glorious. Except for that part where The Plague [movie, if one uses the term loosely enough] failed to make any sense for the last half an hour. Maybe it did if you watched the rest of the movie, but I'm thinking not. It did remind me of a giant reason I actually liked early Dawson's Creek. And if one looks up the movie, one will realize what that was.
The house appraisal has moved to Monday, as it was pouring Thursday. So far I've done less than nothing in terms of cleaning up. I plan to rectify this today, but you know how I am about cleaning, that whole it cost me shiny books thing still bugs me, even if it was my own damn fault. BAH.
Finished watching the extras on House S3, and y'know, wow, the people behind House are dorks. I say this with love as I tend to love their finished product, but my god, the extras are kind of painfully dull. You're in year three and the best you can give me is a tour of all the behind the scenes people? That's all you've got for me? At least the Band from TV thing was fun.
Oh, and I did some survey on movies and the illegal downloading of them. I don't know how many movies I see over the course of three months. Not a lot, but that's because I'm in the midst of my TV addiction with Netflix... But when asked why I don't download illegally, all I could say was, "because it's wrong?" ... okay, yeah, and I have a dial-up connection. But I wouldn't download movies even if I could, although now that I think about it, I did receive one as a gift. I just forgot about it. Wait, two. One movie, one TV show. The TV show she didn't know until she gave it to me that it was a bootleg, and the movie, well, he knew full well what he was doing. Of course, the only reason I didn't hang up was because Aussie accents are my Kryptonite. If ever someone wanted to sell me something...
Okay. I should clean. Or work on that project of mine that I've been neglecting due to the cleaning. And then I'll look up shoes. Yes, and dream of Pullips without sleeping because I slept enough as it is.
