the hell with this

Lots of things are pissing me off today, though, but that's leading the pack. There's also the hour I spent at Target this morning trying to hunt down Cassy's registry-approved gifts. However it printed back in January for Ari's was much more helpful. This go round my eyes crossed and I wanted to break stuff as I hunted for what was left on the list. Left? you might ask. Yes. It's not that a ton of people bought anything [nothing is showing up as bought] but because they haven't updated in FOR-FREAKIN-EVER, and thus half the stuff on the list isn't available, or only available online, or they say, "well, it might be around. Somewhere. Good luck, asshole."
So, I've come to this conclusion. When you want me to buy you something from a list/registry, make me my own little list. Highlight stuff, a nice mix of stuff as well as prices, and give me that list first. Then include the super long awesome list, kay? Cuz about ten minutes in, I thought I was going to kill someone dead. Eight pages of stuff, the two pages that detail how to work the damned thing, and most of what was left was either boring as hell [honestly, much as you might need a pyrex set, it's dull. DULL! and there's nothing cute and cheap to add to it to spruce it up a little] or totally out of my price range, considering I'm not even sure there will be a wedding. Instead, I bought 'em an odd assortment of plates in black and white, and a couple of bowls to go with, as well as some measuring spoons actually on her list. This goes with the Halloween hand towels I bought her at work. I'm sure I'll find something else, but by then I was cranky as hell and nothing seemed interesting.
Well, nothing for her, and nothing I could actually afford anyway. It is a damn good thing I don't have a credit card, or I would be so fucked...
Because I'm not in a foul enough mood, I'm also feeling odd-dork out everywhere I go. Which I get often enough when it actually happens, I don't need to invent this stuff. ;_;
Oh, and I don't think my DVR likes House, or at least not the second episode. USA was airing it again last night, and sure enough, I woke up for work and the damn thing wasn't recording. I hit the button I'd already mashed a million times after I set the thing, and poof! It starts to record. What. The. Hell. Despite having taped everything else I'd set it up for all week, and last week too, it still fucked up on the same damn program. *kills*
