My Christmas story...
I wrapped my remaining presents, mostly ones from Dad to other people no less, and wondered who he got those fun stick up lights for. I tried asking, considering they'd need a tag, but he ignored me. I know he heard me because he echoed it back and then looked thoughtful, but when I checked the sheet of tags, he'd filled in two, not three. So, it was tag-less. Wheeeee! Anyway, the whole point of that is that I was so tired I passed out and slept right through my alarm that was meant to get me moving before midnight. Sometime around two, maybe three, I crawled out of bed and ditzed around online. Yay, me. Then I went downstairs to admire the lights and finish Return of the Evil Twin. Stumbled across the Psych Christmas special, so I watched that and felt all warm and fuzzy. Oh, and I laughed until I damn near cried. During commercials, I ran upstairs and lugged down stocking stuffers, as I didn't trust the dogs not to eat the actual presents.

While trying to decide the ratio of gum to candy, Lady starts gagging. I pet her because it seems to help the cats, and the next thing I know I'm looking at a piece of moldy bread. Damn dog swallowed a piece whole. A beyond disgusting piece, I might add. I cleaned it up and tried not to get sick myself. Then I took a nap. Next thing I know it's 10am and I stumble down the stairs, gifts in tow, and realize my parents have obviously just woken up. Which means food will be late, gifts will be late, and really, I should have just slept on. Instead of sleep, I watched the BSC Christmas special and helped thaw the turkey. Blah, blah, blah...

The presents!
-a purse
-happy bunny wallet
-fruits basket #18 [where are you, 17? wheeeeeere?]
-spice world, anniversary edition
-icy bling delancey
-one stick up light

And Prunella arrived yesterday, which was weird. So... Pullip for Christmas. :D I'm sure my brother was all "wtf?" but since I paid for it, no bitching. Woo.

But the biggest moment? I made my father cry. Which was disconcerting to say the least. I was all atwitter about the calender I made him, yes? Yes. So Sean gives him the box and I stare, after reminding him that this will be the best gift EVER. He chuckles and then opens the box and digs through the six tons of tissue paper. I'm thorough. He finds it, takes one look at the cover [mafia kitty!] and he looks like he's gonna cry. And then he actually does as he flips through it. I've seen my father cry maybe twice in my life and one of those times was when his mother died. This was ever so unnerving. I sit there, worrying that I blew it, but it was such a good picture of Bear and it made an even better cover shot, y'know? However it seems like it was just one of those times where my gift giving skills were just that good. I guess. I'm still a little worried that I'll find the calender thrown out or hidden or something, but I'll burn that bridge later.

I'm dead tired now, so sleep. Mmmmmm. Sleep.

And some of you will be celebrating Epiphany as there were...issues. We'll leave it at that.

*hugs* Thanks for the Buffy goodness, T! :D
