mmm. books.
Jan. 25th, 2008 10:07 amYesterday the phone company decided I didn't need my phone. So, I went to Summerville to resserect it. I had no plans to do any such thing. I was going to stay home, finish my book, pass out, mebbe have some lunch in there somewhere, maybe not. But then Mumsy dangled the idea of going to the trade-a-book, and since I had those extra SVH:SY books, I decided to go. Wheee! Turns out the payment place in Summerville is closed, but I did get to peek around in Tuesday Morning. Nothing so fantastic that it came home with me, though. Next stop, books! Didn't miss the turn as we usually do, and out of eight books, they took seven. Yay me! I had, umm... 9 something in credit, and I never manage to not use all my credit immediately after earning it.
Until yesterday. I just couldn't work up the joy to re-purchase two of the BSC California Diaries since I know full well I own them. Or did. Especially since Sunny's third book had two copies there, but someone had written on the cover of the first and the spine was shot on the second. So, I picked one SVT and one... damned if I reme-oh. Junior High, the only one they had that I was missing. I didn't realize until just recently that I've got most of that series. I've realized that, short of a miracle, I'm going to have to hunt down the remaining books via ebay, or go on a completely dorky tour of various used bookstores I've never been to. Book Exchange has a lovely cat, but their selection blows. The Mt. P store only has stuff if I have no money, and the only new books at the Summerville store are the ones I brought in last time. D'oh! And I figure if I haven't bought the four books I definitely need that they've had for the last year, I'm probably never going to buy those versions. :P
Anyway, I still have four bucks in credit, so yay me.
I'm cold. I'm going to bed.
