Feb. 12th, 2008 02:20 pmI dreamt of the Pike kids from the BSC. I dreamt of a bloodborne virus. I dreamt that Dr. Cox, or a similar enough character, married someone played by Heather Locklear, but the twist was that she was only marginally bitchy. There were twins whose names were constantly shortened and then morphed into other words who were supposed to be attending someone's wedding [the couple met at Dr. Cox's wedding to not-bitchy-Heather-chara] but one of the twins didn't want to attend at all. But mostly it was about the virus. I haven't a damn clue as to what it did, other than it was supposed to be bad if left untreated, but treatment was basically simple and you have a fairly decent amount of time before you were screwed. Window of opportunity to do something was fairly big. I remember getting various scratches on my left arm, and when the area right around the scabs turned pink, I was told that I couldn't go to work, and when I said that was hardly fair since I'd either had the treatment, or was on my way to do so, and thus not a danger, I was handed $42. I bitched that that hardly made up for having to miss a week of paychecks, dude, and he slipped another twenty or possible two. Still not enough, duh! But then I was pretty much thrown out of the store.
There was something involving a blond and two guys setting up lights on the porch, but it was bigger, and the girl fell when one of the guys did something [like stomped on her foot] and she took the string of lights she was working on down with her. I screamed let go, she did, but didn't fall splat since she wasn't that far off the ground to begin with. But the guys, both of whom were infected, were being real assholes about everything. Next thing I know, I'm in the backseat of a car with not!Cox and HL fighting over Coxy not wanting to turn his kid over to the authorities for being infected, but HL is threatening to do so anyway. Weird.
Days later, I wander back. Surgery seems to have gone well, though I've a story about that as well. Too tired to share. And in random, as if this weren't random enough, I will forever be 16/17 whenever I hear any song off the So Much For the Afterglow album. Disconcerting since odds are good that if you're playing an Everclear song, it'll be one of them.
