poses that I see through
Jul. 7th, 2008 05:11 amI'm not sure. Should I be relieved? Should I be annoyed? Should I just be?
I tried calling. I got the machine. They got a new message. I didn't leave one, though. I figured if I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, I probably sounded like a five year old on helium and did not want that recorded. Ever. Thank you. I didn't call back because I sunk into a bit of a funk. I watched a lot of comedy central and almost died laughing. And then I channel surfed when they'd have a crappy guy. I ooohed and ahhhed over Stuart Townsend in the League which I need to just go ahead and buy because I love him in it, and I laugh at all the other things going on. Don't shoot too soon is a phrase that cannot be used enough. Ever.
My brother came over, killed the mood in the house [magic!] and said he needed the truck to pick up Thomas. Um, hello, use your girlfriend's car. He used to use Katherine's all the time. Is it because he didn't really like her, so it was cool? Or because she actually liked the kid while this one doesn't? Also, the day before your birthday is not the day to make it so the only person you're related to who might actually buy you a present has no way of, I dunno, going to buy one. Okay, two people might. Mumsy might and I might. But even if I do walk up to the Book Exchange, I don't think there's a damn thing there Sean would want. :p
Entertainment Weekly’s list of the top movies of the last 25 years.
Go through their list and BOLD the ones you have seen and underline the ones you own on video or DVD.
Let's see. Cauldy divided the ones seen in the theatre to those rented/on tv, so... I edit.
( I own all of 2. )
I'd do the music/TV shows, but musically I'm pretty much dealing with a fairly small collection, and I'm doubting much of it clocks in on the list. I own the issue, but I don't remember thinking, "YES!" and doing that "I own it!" dance after much. Yes in that I like the artist? Sure. Otherwise, not so much. Might do the TV a little later.
Books, though, demand the same treatment as the movies:
( I own one, and have read a pitiful few )
G'ah, I'm tired. Well, no, but I will be later, so I think I'll head that off at the pass.
And in the end, Decemberunderground is better than The Black Parade, although I suspect that popularity wise, TBP is probably still on various top ten lists, while DU long slipped away. I only mention this because I realized I've got half of DU on my playlist and all of, two TBP songs. Granted, I love them both, but I love me some DU more. It's just taken two years for me to realize this without a doubt.
