What can I say? I don't get out much. I figure I can only count where I've actually been, not where I've flown over. Also, I want to say I'm missing a state, but I'm probably not. In order to distract me, let's reminisce about each little state, and how it tickles me that if you make your own, it'll say country. Ah, good times.
For those new to the program, SC is easy. I live here. :P NC is due to driving through to visit my grandmother [which is why Maryland is lit up] and also when my father's side of the family moved to the state. Georgia is mostly due to the insane policy of flying out of our air port and being shoved off to Atlanta's, but also a school trip to Savannah. School also accounts for Iowa [I think it was Iowa...damned I states!] and the week I spent there. It was gorgeous but even we were bored, and I've heard so many complaints about how dead things get here that, well, if we're bored? Honey, you just aren't trying. Nebraska was due to having to drive through for whatever reason. Pretty skies and kudos to whomever decided the junkyard should be situated so close to whatever airport we landed in. Kudos! Virginia was also a drive through until visiting Cass. NY was to visit colleges and lose my [Disney plated] heart in the city.
Rumors were true. They changed the theme music for Birds of Prey and I'm not entirely sure why. I'm wondering if the fact that the artist never actually got her record deal [that I'm aware of, anyway] worked against things, or if it should have helped. Their new replacement isn't bad... it just isn't good, either. It'd be fine if that were what they'd gone with, way back in the day, but they didn't. So I think Birds of Prey, I think of Revolution. And while I'm sure they thought that replacing the final fight scene's music [t.a.t.u.] was a great idea, particularly since they didn't actually try and replace it with something similar, they thought wrong. If I weren't sure I wouldn't find it, I would tear my room apart looking for my copy of the finale as it aired on TV. Which is to say I tried, but I gave up when I only found the first two tapes. I suspect the others are shoved in my closet somewhere, as they seem to have been on the rack on the back of my door, only they fell. Bah. I distinctly remember loving that sequence in large part because of the song. And I know this isn't one of those moments where time has played tricks on me, because I found numerous posts by me, back in the day, that support this memory.
I spent part of the night trading emails with Cass. She emailed him. Bitchy. Scary. And seemed to be under the impression I'd done the same. No. I don't see the point. If he wanted me to know, he'd have said something to me, not alerted the myspace public [of which he knows I'm not a part of] and let her do the work for him. Coward. Smart. I'm really not sure at this point, but whatever you want to call it, I'm not going out of my way to hurt myself.
I still feel ill, though. That's why god invented blankets, kitties, and Tori, though I don't imagine too many people turn to the beekeeper. Shame. Parasol helps.
Oh, and the BoP disc was a gift from my brother. And it was worth every penny he spent because the Gotham Girls webisodes are just as good, if not better, than I remembered. Also, my ILMF dolls [nolee & chels] arrived. So the day wasn't a total loss.
