day one

Who the hell closes a playground in the spring? Is that not what winter is for? So instead of throwing Widget to the children/wolves on a playground as Cass and I sat and gossiped without having to worry about real profanity while Matt fished... we all sat out on the dock for three or so hours. In theory this sounds relaxing. Nice, even. And for the most part, it sort of was. Except Matt didn't really get to fish because Widget is a spaztic seven year old who would not listen to the "fish don't want to be caught so don't let them know you're here" logic. I know, it's a bit much. But yeah. He wouldn't leave the damn dock/pier, so I spent the afternoon pondering if I was going to get sea sick. Not that I've ever had that problem before, but I get bored easily.

And I know full well I never want kids. Ever.

mostly I'm just cranky because I'm hungry and tired and ...nyargh! Three hours on a pier where I had to edit everything I said.
