Oct. 5th, 2009 04:46 pm*whines* My ear hurts. My ear hurts. Did I mention that my ear hurts? Because it does. Have I done anything other than whine? No. Because I'm lazy. And I worked six days in a row, which I know is nothing for some of you and for others would be cause for celebration. But I gotta say that it kinda sucks when you've heard people mock your job (woe!) and then not a single one of those slackers will actually do it so that you don't have to work on your day off.
Now, my inner child would like to squee something fierce. With Kirsten's archival, I went ahead and blew my holiday pay on some dolly stuff. Which isn't much for some people but for me, it was probably the single most expensive order I'd placed in years for AG stuff. The only other doll stuff that cost more would be anytime more than one Pullip or Dal was released in a month. And those I would save up for, not just randomly decide, "I need dolly stuff! Now!" and bam! Money gone.
But I missed out on all of Sam's stuff last year and picked the wrong Nellie stuff to pick up (I love it, but most of the stuff I bought was still available earlier this year whereas everything else? Yeah. That went about a month after the announcement. Oi.) and I vowed that I would not repeat those mistakes this go round.
So, uh, I basically bought a giant chunk of the remainder of her collection. And it arrived on Friday and I opened it up and was all, "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" because, you know, I'm a dork. I like to think Kirsten's happy with her new stuff, as she snuggles up with Sari, her doll, while wearing her new clogs that do look incredibly plastic, but fit even though she's PM. Haven't tried on anything else yet because I don't think I could stand it if nothing else fit (well, we don't count hair ribbons) but soon. Soon!
Nothing like a big pile of boxed goodness to make you all warm and fuzzy. Except, and I'm sure I'll mention this again when I get around to photos, all her boxes are awfully small. Did they do this for everyone and I just never noticed because all my small orders are for tiny items or are the one kind that don't use itty bitty boxes? Weird. Also, of three outfits, one had a hanger. The other two did not. *finds this strange*
