delayed gratification
Apr. 14th, 2010 10:15 amWhy is it that when I have money, I can never find super awesome book lots on ebay? When I'm broke, DUDE. I swim in them and think, "Why oh why couldn't you all be ending next week?" When I have the money, they look at me and say, "now we are ending next week. Tough luck."
I want my instant gratification instant, damn it.
Am I the only person on the planet who does not think Olivia Wilde is the hottest thing in the universe? Because I'm starting to think so. She grates on my nerves for reasons I do not understand and has for years. So when she was first thrown to the media wolves as the next big thing, it was annoying enough. Now that she's on her second or third wave, it's making me want to scream. And not in the same way other people are.
I am so tired that if this chair were semi-comfortable, I would probably fall asleep right now, right here. But it's not, so I'm going to go about my morning web-check and then pass out.
Read How To Train Your Dragon yesterday. The title works so much better for the book than it does for the movie. That said, I like the movie more, although to compare the two is a bit unfair. Toothless is a trickster dragon (who is itty bitty) in the book, and in the movie is superawesomewonderfulIwantonenowpleasethankyou. Book scared me for a second, making me think it had done the unthinkable, but luckily not every subscribes to the "kill them all!" theory of things. Must point out that I expected to read a chapter, maybe two, and ended up reading the whole thing at once.
( Look away, T! )
Soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Bedtime.
