I loathe working an extra hour. I loathe it even more when someone leaves me a pile of things to put away despite having walked by it several times. "Oh, one of the others will put it away."
NO. They won't. Or they will, but it'll bite you in the ass. So instead I had to work even longer. *bitches on her way to bed*
Wait. I forgot my other bitchings! Well. Bitching. There's a reason the rest of the universe looks upon doll collectors as if they're batshit crazy. They are. But in ways that are just... for example, the newest source of pain is a thread in AG land about naming dolls and what if you name your doll after someone else's doll.
'Kay. In the first place, it's a NAME. Yes. Some are incredibly unique and some, if you haunt the fandom, are really well known, no matter how much you actively attempt to simply lurk. Personally I think it would be weird if I got doll X and named her after well known doll X because, well... it would strike me as weird, and I know for a fact (and knew it before even opening this thread) other people wouldn't hesitate to call you out on it.
But it's simply a name. And I refuse to believe there are that many people who would go to the trouble of swiping your doll's name, personality, and whatever else. Yes. They exist. But there can't be that many that you have to seriously flip out when someone's doll shares the same name as yours.
Which leads me to another side of the equation: How the hell do you expect me to keep up with all these names? I'm going to go and throw myself at the person who said "if you don't want your stuff ripped off, don't post it online. Otherwise, seriously, those are the chances you take."
Dolls, people. Dolls. I thought this was insane back in Pullip land, and I think it's even moreso with AG fandom. Also? Wow, some of these people think highly of themselves to think someone's going to copy their doll, or would even know that they'd share a name.
My mind, she is boggled.
