Today is a bit of a mixed bag for me. On the one hand, I was woken up around 2:30 in the morning by my brother and two very loud females. At first I thought Mums was telling him to turn his music down (telling, yelling, whatever) and he was yelling back but then I realized no. He and these two... ladies *cough* seemed to care not one iota that three other people, one of whom is a child, were trying to sleep as they traipsed about upstairs, yelling from one room to the next. But I could have sworn I'd woken to the sounds of Mums hitting the roof. I went downstairs to see if she wanted me to tell the skanks (my opinion slid fairly low as the time ticked by, sorry) to shut the hell up and leave because some people like to sleep and if they didn't, fine, but scream elsewhere.
Only Mums wasn't awake. o_O Neither was Widget. I decided that me yelling at them to turn the damn music down and close a goddamned door would be counterproductive, so I debated staying awake. As I considered this, one of the voices shrieks, "OHMYGOD, a cockroach!" to which I mentally reply, "Palmetto bug, really." The other shrieks and they decide they're going to wait outside. Do you know what's outside at 2:30am in Charleston? Bugs. Lots of 'em, especially if it's been raining (and it has been). So I cackled and went upstairs where I... dunno. Played online. And then I finished my SVH snark and the world was grand. It also took forever because I'm still not used to this keyboard.
I took the liberty of flipping through the AG board I've been skimming lately and found a few interesting things: Julie's roller skating outfit? Being retired. D: But then I found a thread of dolly drama and, yeah. My day was made brighter by checking on that all day. I then Netflixed myself, intending to continue with the Vampire Diaries that Ari was insistent that I watch only somehow I ended up watching How I Met Your Mother. (True story: I had a dream once it was canceled. It was so realistic I believed it until the end of the third season. I think I had the dream during the first season.)
I've been eating more than I should be and I had dreams in which actual physical pain was felt, so obviously super girlie time is at hand. So we handle it like anyone rational would: icecream + Kahlua = much happier times. Yay!
