Ow, my brain
Jul. 14th, 2012 05:37 amOi. I still have a headache. I don't remember whether I took anything for it. This is not good.
I should be happily asleep. I should be curled up in my bed, snoozing in the nice, safe air conditioned junk pile that is my bedroom. Instead, at a little before 2:30, my brother comes flying into my room because we had a break in! And by break in he totally means one of his friends/acquaintances/friend of a friend came into the house while people were sleeping (only Widget wasn't asleep!) and stole his bottle of happy making pills! (legal, I assure you.)
Which somehow sent him off on a million rants and none of which seemed to acknowledge that given the nature of the crime, this person had to know the boy fairly well, or know someone who does.
Words were said! Tears! My headache exploded into life! My sleep ruined! Because it is creepy as fuck to know someone was in your house without your permission.
Creepy as fuck!
Then, just when I'm about ready to go back to sleep, the boy is all "I've heard some chatter. I'm going out." If you've subscribed to the boy's best of moments, you'll know that he has horrific luck, so I had to wait up for him to get back. He did and the dogs went crazy because someone was with him.
Dude. This proves my earlier point about how the dogs do so still bark like crazy when someone they barely know appears. Or someone they looooooooove.
So. Til I relax a bit more or decide to just throw in the towel on sleep altogether, let's discuss Kitty No Name!

The only thing under that cut is a massive picture of kitty. If you're one of the two people also friends on FB, you've seen this picture. Otherwise, go look. KITTY. Look at that face! Look at that nose! KITTY.
So. Kitty came with a name that I will not keep for a couple of reasons, the least of which is that she does not seem like a Joselyn. And also that's Widget's little sister's name only spelled differently. It would be weird and also remind people of she who annoyed me to no end.* Not the kid though. She's adorable. Anyway. Kitty!
Kitty lives in the boy's room still, but she allows Widge to slide under his bed and bring her back out. (he's the only one small enough to do so.) She's a cat so she's a bit weird. She swivels her head like an owl except without actual rotation they can do. She also does this little crab walk while she does it as she keeps close to me and it's adorable. She believes she can bury her face in your arm and hide and you can totally not see her when she does this. Widget and I have taught her fist-bump because Widget was feeling sad and thought she hated him, so I bet him she didn't.
She purrs although it's mostly quiet, though there's a bit of trill going on there. She has no idea what you do with a feather toy and seems genuinely perplexed by the fact that she can see your hand moving but it's not petting her and why, why is this? But if you make a move to pet her and move a little too fast she backs up like, "WHOA. Personal space!"
She's starting to get curious about the world outside her doors. When Mums left the room the other day, she tried to race out after Mums. Ditto Widget last night. But this is only if you leave the room while she's not retiring under the bed.
Kitty. Needs. A. Name. Ideas? And do not suggest Beauty.
* Widget hasn't seen his mother in three weeks, maybe more. He had plans for Saturday that he had to cancel when she decided he would see her this weekend. He canceled without much complaint for once. Yeah. Sometime around 4:30 or so this afternoon he calls to ask where she is since she's normally picked him up by then. Yeah. She sent the little sisters off to spend the night somewhere and she and the newish husband were going out to dinner and she'd call Widget "sometime later."
WTFLAMINGFUCK.
