Curses, I think the AG bug is starting to bite again. I'd spent most of the summer eying things just to make sure nothing big happened while I wasn't looking (like the time they pretty much gutted most of Felicity's collection, again, but this was years before archival time.) but being kind of meh. Which is somehow both surprising and not. On the one hand, my AG bug bites come summer when they ship a catalog of shiny loveliness that I can curl up in the AC with and it pretty much ratchets up the biting come the end of summer/start of school times because the first two books in any AG series from my childhood took place in that time frame.
So while it still feels like an oven around here, advertising is beginning to turn to fall type things since August is right around te corner and school starts at the end of August. Hence the biting.
On the other hand, I've been distracted by the glut of MH stuff flooding the shelves for the summer because it's still totally summer and that's when new toys hit. :D I live in an confusing place, man. Thing is, there are no new things on the shelf for me. If I sweet talked Cassalicious, I might get lucky and snag someone in the Scary Tales line in the North area. Might not as I don't know their employees and if they'd go in the back if it's not on the shelf. The only Roller Maze doll to appear on the shelf has been Operetta and mine is still waiting for me to debox her, so I don't particularly need a second. (Lagoona, obviously a different matter entirely.) Dot Dead Gorgeous hasn't been spotted here, nor has the Skull Shores multipack. No sign of the Ghouls Rule dolls since birthday times, and even the refresher packs of the various W2 and W1 dolls (It was so weird seeing W1 Draculaura on the shelf!) have come and gone rather quickly.
Online shops haven't been much better. I keep hoping that they'll pop back in stock and I can grab them as I don't mind doing my MH shopping online like some people do. While my luck hasn't been perfect, it's been pretty good so I don't complain about it.
Which is all a longwinded way of saying that Mattel's supply isn't keeping up with their demand so my attention is starting to wander.
Spent the weekend in a funk as little things kept vexing me. I won't rehash them as there's not really any point at the moment. Cleaned my room after sleep didn't pan out, although cleaning isn't exactly the word. It was more like resetting it to closer to the way I left it during my spring vacation. Which is a good thing, it means I did a really good job then if it didn't take too long to get it back to that state (or close) and would have taken less time only my room is full of toys.
I'm thinking I'm going to have to end up buying the Sex and the City DVDs to clean my room thoroughly since I actually seem to do a good job while that plays in the background. Which is weird because it's something I only watch when I'm cleaning and there's nothing else on. Nothing. Else. On. (I do better with background noise and the radio is too easy to hit a slew of bad songs and CDs require upkeep. My cleaning methods involve "blockade the distractions and the exits! No one leaves til we are DONE.") I guess when I'm done with a season, I can give them to Widget to give to his mother?
*hums* If you're AG inclined, they've updated their last chance savings sale. Some stuff is super cheap, some stuff is cheap, and some of it makes me wish I had room for the doll trunks or two extras of Kit's chairs. (Seriously, the only thing stopping me is the fact that I have to clean that part of my room and I'm not sure how much room I have. Want. Want badly.)
Lasagna should be ready!
