yays!

Yesterday was a really good day. I found out that my Deuce drought is coming to an end (yay!), I found $20 when I was cleaning my closet (yay!), found a pair of pants a size smaller than my new ones and they almost fit so that's likely a good sign, plus underwear I'd bought and apparently thrown in the closet (don't ask) and forgotten about.

Then I was saved from the boring un-fun part of cleaning by a call from Cass asking to visit while she's on this side of town. Had lunch out (yum!), visited Liz at her job, visited Ari, had ice cream, came home and enjoyed early evening lighting, and played Vegas Monopoloy with Widget. I'm still not sure which one of us is winning (I have more money and more property, but the next time I land on The Strip I'll be bankrupt) but it was fun.

Also got to talk to my godfather (which is a fun thing to get to say) and while he sounds sadder than I remember prior to Dad's death, I also made him laugh the kind of laugh I remember from all our visits.

Then I snoozed a bit after Widget and I packed up the game (scribbled down where everything was so we could pick up where we left off) and when I woke up found that the other MH goody on my to hunt obsessively for had been found (so many yays!) annnnnnnd...

It was a really good day.
