Killing time. I wish I had a swing with which to properly kill time. I also wish I didn't have to go to work tonight. I could call out, I suppose, but since I'm not sick that would be rude and probably not the best idea ever had.

Oh, I'm killing time because Ari was supposed to drop by an hour ago. Not sure if I'm being rainchecked or if she's just running late. Text is currently unanswered. Which wouldn't be so bad, but given my vampire hours, this is sort of like me making plans with you for 3am and then not appearing. This assumes you'd be getting up at like, 6:30am or so, btw. If not, rearrange the times for your own personal "that sucks" timetable.

Only vaguely related, but sometime last year or so I realized that Widget has it seriously easy in some respects. He has someone wake his sorry butt up in the morning. The boy has a safety net of someone waking him up when he sleeps through his alarm (which is often). Mums tends to need a wakeup reminder at least once every two weeks, though I will admit her hours are kind of weird due to everyone else's hours being so odd.
I've been waking myself up on time (relatively) since I was eleven. I started sixth grade and I remember taking such ridiculous pride in setting my alarm for some ungodly hour because while school didn't start til 8-something, the bus I happened to catch got here at some freakishly early hour and that got moved back to an even earlier time when it became apparant that everyone going to the MS had siblings on the elementary bus. So they'd pick us up with the elementary kids instead of swinging back by twenty minutes later. Which was bad enough but the ride out to CE took for freakin' ever, man. FOREVER.
This isn't to say I don't oversleep. I do. I'm quite sure that'll happen tonight, given how I'm going on about waking up and all. But it's pretty rare.

Yay me.

In stuff news: My Barbie picnic tote arrived yesterday. No one told me about it until this morning, so I opened that sucker up this afternoon. It is HUGE. I'm thinking that whenever we move, I'll use it to either move the various plates and things I've assembled or maybe the ~special~ toys that are small enough to fit inside. Kind of hard to lose this bag. $2 plus shipping. Thumbs up!
Also, my Lagoona 2.0 arrived. I do so love twinning Lagoona for less. *purrs* Cupid's diary was cute and it will join my stash of MH journals momentarily. Still waiting (forever waiting) for my MLP: FiM plushes from BaB. I don't think I've ever had an order from them take so long to simply ship. I know, I know. It's so horrible. :P

Oh. Today was the Cooper River Bridge Run. Also known as that day when a buncha people from out of town converge on the city to... run across a bridge. At least the bridge is no longer three seconds away from falling apart but still, not my thing. Not now, not ever. I hate Bridge Run weekend. HATE it.

eta: I am an idiot. I thought she meant today. Is tommorow. This is one of the downsides to vampire hours; your days and meanings get all jumbled!
