Final Friday the 13th of 2013
Dec. 13th, 2013 11:14 amI don't know what to buy my mother for Christmas. She wants a sofa/couch because we need one. She's got a very exacting list of what she wants that basically means she'll have to be present for the buying of it. Thing is, I'm not sure we'll find one before Christmas and I think she should have something, even if it's relatively small. I bought a pair of super awesome slipper socks for her but they're stocking bound.
Normally she's got a list and a half of books she wants but I suspect having to go through 60 boxes of books (I sincerely wish I wasn't lowballing that number) has put her off the idea of buying more any time soon. She hasn't expressed interest in owning any movies or shows and the next thing I can think of would take more money away from her sofa than I think she would enjoy unless Amazon is having a sale. (A spiffy DVD player.) I thought of buying her some nickelfree earrings from Simply Whispers but if memory serves they take a coon's age to ship and their shipping price is insanely painful when you consider it's about as much to ship the earrings as it is to buy them. :P
Any ideas? I feel like I'm missing something painfully obvious but my brain is just so very, very tired...
On the flipside, I bought Ari $75 worth of eyemakeup and paid umm... $5. Yeah, that's it, because the other ten was due to the stamps which don't count towards the thing I used. WOO. Less than that, actually, since I also bought those socks and two candy bars.
WOO.
Let me repeat that. $75 worth of makeup for less than $5. *runs in circles*
And to top things off, the browned butter crisps I made actually resemble the picture in the magazine and are pretty tasty, too.
