Oct. 14th, 2014 01:07 pmWhy yes, I would love to spend three hours trying to fix something on my computer only to have it magically revert to working order. o_O
My AG order has shipped! :D I'm pretty damn excited, actually. Part of this joy is because no one has done much with this new release and two of the items I ordered are from the new release. (Blue sparkle dress, fair isle jamas, in case you wondered.) This means I haven't had a chance to OD on pictures or anything yet.
I spent the last two and a half days in pain because my back decided to fuck with me again. Sometime this morning it decided enough was enough. Just in time, coincidentally, for the computer to require me to contort myself into pretzel shapes. *facepalm*
I made sugar cookies today and they are tasty. I'm not entirely sure they'll make it through the day/night. Sunday I made Oatmeal Scotchies and Pumpkin Pie Spice... things. The scotchies were delicious but the pumpkin ones made the house smell good. Too bad they were a waste of white chocolate chips, man. (Mums enjoyed them, though!)
I've been trying to pepper in some Halloween goodness into my days when and where I can. I finally saw Hotel Transylvania (Mavis is the cutest bat) and I've been catching up on my Sabrina the Teenage Witch Halloween episodes. There was some other Halloween movie/show I saw but...
Oh, now I remember. I watched Fun Size which had awful reviews, a lot of which seemed to hinge on the fact that it was made by Nickelodeon and the tone is so not a little kids' movie. Um, did any of these people grow up on Nick? At all? Because Disney is where your squeaky clean kids stuff was from, not Nick. Nick always had the stuff that, when you were older, you wondered how the hell they managed to get it past the censors.
That said, the movie wasn't awful but it could have benefited from someone saying, "Look, it's creepy the way you're lingering on jailbait in an overly sexed up gaze-way, k?"
Annnnnnnd I wasn't a fan of the bit after the end before the credits rolled as it basically eliminated a good chunk of the 'heart' of the story, but I suspect that Widget would've found it hilarious so it might be guy vs. girl humor.
I still haven't managed to find my Halloween spirit but I'm trying.
Now to ditch this headache...
