I am feeling like an adult, man. I spent yesterday assembling my new bookcase (which I then promptly filled with toys, that I can buy because I have a job like an adult!) and then sorting through various boxes still in my room.
This morning I thought things through a little clearer (sleep, it's a helluva drug) and fixed a few things and re-Jenga'd my storage closet. My room has more space now, sorta. I'm not 100% happy but I'm pretty sure that until I manage to whittle down my copies of copies of books, this is as good as things will be and I'm fairly content with that.
THEN. THEN I took a shower (woot?) and decided to sign up for a new secondary bank. Thing is, their application process is a bit... complicated, so I decided to call because it seemed much easier. You might recall that I hate making phone calls, but I suited up and called and it took awhile, but I was fine.
I now have a secondary bank (it feels like an adult thing to do) and oh yeah, I applied for a new credit card through that bank and BAM. Approved! The sun chose that moment to appear so really, I am feeling much better than I was a few hours ago.
Adult. *struts around*
So. Ice-cream for lunch, yes?
Oh look, decimated more boxes. Huzzah! That means I also found some of my MH stuff (clothing/shoes/those cardboard cutouts from the clothing packs) so yay! If I can stay awake/lucid enough, I think I'm going to attempt to resume work on my long neglected rerooting project.
In other news, if you're considering an AG doll for someone this holiday, now is actually a really good time to cave. They're donating a doll for every doll purchased, so when you buy one, they're going to give one to a girl who needs one.
I might have melted at the thought. We're a week away from Cyber Monday and I can't buy a doll until I've bought all the presents for people locally, but this is going on until December 18th, so you have time, too.
The link also shows you the new commercial and it's a good one as far as ads for toys go. I would like to smack the person who was all, "But what about the boys?!" in reaction to it, but I've resisted the urge so far.
