Anyway, after cleaning the living room, I went and played with my little beauty sponge thing. I didn't realize they doubled (tripled?) in size, so that was fun to watch happen. :D For a first try, I don't think I did too badly, though I desperately need to tweeze, I think. But it's so tedious and boring and painful. /whine
So, the sponge was fun. I think I somehow managed to go overboard and not use enough foundation and I don't know how that's possible. More experimentation will be necessary, I suppose.
Afterward, I used my little trial of Garnier's Makeup Removing Lotion Cleanser (that's a mouthful, eh?) and holycrap muffins, my face is super soft and I know I shouldn't, but I keep wanting to touch it because SO SOFT. Now to see if it breaks me out like crazy.
Garnier and I have a love/hate relationship that basically winds up with me loving to hate them. I can't use their hair color because all three times something most unfortunate has happened to my hair color, it's been at their hands, no matter the line of color. (The purple red? Them. The neon yellow? Yup. The carrot orange? Indeed.) Their hair care stuff is better, but I don't really care for the smell on a lot of the stuff. But they've got some putty or something that actually coaxes my hair into holding its curl when I bother to do it, so I put up with the smell.
Skincare wise, I think I've only tried one of their moisturizers and it broke my skin out. I was going to take it back and then I realized it was fantastic for using to soothe insect bites, so it gets to stay. But if this stuff works without the breakouts, I may have to fork over the cash for the real thing.
So... soft!
Book wise, I caved and bought the Kindle version of Isle of the Lost, the Disney Descendants prequel. It's... different? Somehow it manages to be darker AND fluffier than any incarnation of Ever After High so far.

Short version: I like the foursome, I think they deserve better than I fear they're going to get, and I need the toys now.
