Let's pretend we're coworkers. Your main job is to run register and for tonight I'll be up front with you counting things for inventory, ok?
Now, when it comes to the bottom few shelves, it's easier for me to just sit down and slide as needed. Because I am not tiny and my knees don't love me (which you totally get because you've managed to con everyone into thinking you can't walk all over the store to sweep the floors) I hate going up and down. It freaking hurts. I explain this to you. Nicely.
Finally, I am making great time on this project so you won't be stuck anywhere for long.
Do you then hop the register and disappear for the next hour, forcing me to get up and down repeatedly while you don't do a goddamned thing? Or do you, I dunno, stand there and check your phone like you do every other night?
