Sep. 17th, 2015 01:46 pmWell. I am an idiot. I never wrote down my story idea for the ficlet because I left the musical inspiration in my entry/question about it at the start of August. So now I'm doing 'research' to see if inspiration strikes again. On the plus side, I did complete ficlet #4, so this will be #5 and then I'll have completed the challenge. That I still haven't officially signed up for. Tomorrow!
I started pulling out decorations last night and haven't really decorated so much as thrown a bunch of pumpkins here there and everywhere (self, you do not need more black glitter pumpkins) but this way I've whittled down the boxes. Huzzah! After putting the extra boxes away and eating dinner, I heard a noise coming from the porch. I looked over and there was a little possum (pretty small but not a baby-baby) trying to high-five me from the glass door.
Normally I don't find possums all that cute, but this one was adorable. I told it to go on home and to be careful and after it did some cute sniffing around, it wandered out the door and off into the night. About five minutes later it came back and we did the same dance. I hope it avoids the streets and lives a long, happy life.
