Nov. 27th, 2015 12:57 pmI'm a little excited because I bought a little shiny thing for myself a week or two ago (HSN's shipping is kind of ridiculous. It's either practically arrived before you finish hitting the "buy" button OR you feel like you could have walked there and back to pick up the item yourself) and it's supposed to be delivered today.
I've been watching more than my fair share of youtube and one of my favorites happens to be the lovely Rachhloves:
She's funny and her videos leave me pretty satisfied with whatever her review happened to be. I don't always agree but I'm not left shrieking, "You FOOL!" when our opinions diverge and I've noted a few things to snag whenever I have the money and remember. One of those things happens to be the Too Faced Melted Lipsticks and if you watch the video, you'll notice she makes mention of how often they've come up in her videos. Alas, they're pretty spendy and while I love the idea of a melted lipstick (it's just weird enough to appeal) I really couldn't justify the price.
But there are giftsets and while they're smaller sizes, it's pretty much perfect for trying things out, yes? So I waffled between the set with the blushes and the four pack that included two of the metal colors. I almost never wear blush (seriously, I laugh once and I'm pink for the rest of the day pretty much, so while I appreciate the look on other people, it feels insane to spend money on that for myself) so I went with the metals. Also, metal.
So excited! So worried I'll love them and then want to buy full size versions. :P
Thanksgiving with the boy, his girlfriend, her son, and Widget (plus Mums!) went better than I expected, actually. I mean, there were some hiccups, like being woken up at 3pm with the old, "I think dinner's ready" and then not getting to eat until maybe 5 or 6 because she was running late, and Widget being pretty tightlipped at the table even when directly spoken to. But the boys wound up getting along really well to the point that Widget spent the night out there last night. I wasn't as jittery as I thought I'd be and really, even beforehand I managed to keep the anxiety from going completely off the rails for too long. I'm pretty proud of me. :P
Alas, the anxiety needed to go somewhere so it's building up for having to work until 8am tomorrow. Blergh. It's really annoying because technically the other two should be able to but whatever.
